Koury Angelo/BravoDon’t call The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City STAR Heather Gay a bad girl.
Andy Cohen read a fan question over RHOSLC Season 5 reunion on Wednesday, January 22, in which the viewer claimed that Heather’s “lip” came from her recent weight loss.
“Can you see how you’ve been energizing the mean girl this season?” the question read.
Heather, 50, appeared shocked to hear the question.
“I mean, this is just an interesting read,” Heather replied. “I think when I was heavier, I was more skinny. So it was okay when I pinched myself. Season 1 Heather had a lot more confidence than this girl.”

She continued: “This show takes away your ego. It takes away your confidence. When I was heavier, I had to fight much harder and I was much worse.
Heather said she brought up “a lot more anger and rage” in the past.
Mary Cosby was quick to call in with kind words for her girlfriend.
“I feel like Heather is different. She likes herself better,” said Mary. “She’s pouring more love into herself. I feel like when I first met Heather five years ago, she was very dark, she wasn’t happy. She was trying to climb out of a really deep place that was left by whoever made fun of her, whoever put her down.”
Mary called Heather “sure of herself,” noting that the Good Time Girl author is “more confident” about following one of her co-stars.
“You have to have a lot more confidence to show up without clothes. I’m wearing a stretchy jumpsuit, I’m around all these beautiful women,” added Heather. “I have faith in the match to make this whole show.”

Heather said she is “happy” and “proud” of how far she has come.
“I don’t want it to make me worse,” she continued. “I am different, but it has nothing to do with the fact that I took drugs that made me lose weight.”
Heather revealed in November 2023 that she was on Ozempic, a semaglutide developed to treat type 2 diabetes but which has been used as a popular weight loss drug.
“I’ve been at it for a long time, but I hadn’t seen many results,” she shared during an interview with The people at that time. “I haven’t had massive results, but enough for people to notice, which is great.”
of RHOSLC The star went on to talk about her long weight loss journey IMPACT x Nightline: The Skinny Confessions: After Ozempic documentary, which premiered on Hulu in February 2024.
“It’s disappointing (and) sad to know that body positivity was a big lie,” she confessed at the time. “Because it’s better not to be overweight.”
