“I’m sorry to inform you all that last night I had to go to the ER for a belly issue and I was currently hospitalized,” Shakira, 48, wrote via social media on Sunday, February 16th. “Doctors whose care I am currently under communication I am not in good condition to perform this evening.”
She went on, “I’m very sad that I can’t get the scene today. I look forward to reuniting with my extraordinary fans here in Peru. Hope to be released and well tomorrow, so I’m able to perform. My team And the promoters are already working on a new date to communicate to you.
The message was simply signed, “Shak”.

Shakira started it Women no longer cry world tournaments On Tuesday, February 11, in Rio de Janeiro. After taking the scene in Brazil, Shakira was scheduled to perform on Sunday and Monday, February 17, in Peru.
The day before her tour began, Shakira received the award for the best Latin pop album in 2025 Grammy Awards for her album Women don’t cry anymore. (Shakira defeated other nominees AnittaS ‘ Sadness Generation, Luis FonsiS ‘ Traveling, Kany GarcíaS ‘ fence AND Kali Uchis‘ Orchid.)
“That’s extraordinary, thank you very much,” Shakira said as she accepted the price and blows a kiss in the audience.
Shakira, who also performed at the awards ceremony, ended her speech by giving a sweet cries to her children. (Shakira shares Milan, 12 years old and Sasha, 10, with ex Gerard Piqué. The duo confirmed their separation in a joint statement in 2022 after 12 years together.)
“I want to share this award with my children, Milan and Sasha, who are here with me. I am very proud of you guys and your good hearts. Thank you very much for supporting me the way you do. I love you.”
A day later, Shakira reflected in victory in a post on social media.
“Thanks for this best Latin pop album, I was very fun with this show!” Shakira wrote on February 3. “To be surrounded by so many artists and great friends in one of the best Grammy editions of all time was a dream. I am looking forward to seeing you in May on my #lmynlworldtour tour at Sh.BA #Grammys.”
