Health Canada warns of the fire risk that a number of free -standing electricians from LG spends after reports on incidents caused by accidental activation of the front buttons.
In a recall consultation listed on Wednesday, the agency was explained that the buttons that the headed elements could control could be activated by “accidental contact by humans or pets”, which leads to a risk of fire.
By February 12, the company had received eight reports of incidents in Canada and two reports of injuries, including a small cut and a small burn, “the advisory states.
Between 2016 and June 2024, more than 137,000 units of the affected stoves were sold in Canada.
The LG Electric areas contained in the recall include one with five surface elements on the stove and on the front of the range directly mounted directly above the door to the oven.

To determine whether your electrical area is part of the recall, look into the oven door or the warehouse drawer at the bottom of the oven to find the model number and check whether it corresponds to the adjustments listed in the recall.
Company to send warninglabels
If your electrical range is one of the devices contained in the recall, this does not mean that you have to throw away your stove. In consultation, customers can immediately contact LG Electronics Canada Inc., but they can continue to use their reach while waiting to listen to.
Customers receive a free warning label and placement instructions after making the company aware that they have an affected model.
“The label reminds consumers of using the LN function/control function of LG in the area of the area to deactivate the activation of the heating elements if the area is not used,” says the company on its website.

The LG Electric Ranges were also sold in the USA, with around 500,000 affected models sold by the US Commission for Consumer Products at the beginning of this month.
In the United States, at least 86 reports on the unintended activation of the buttons assembled on the front, according to the recall. At least eight minor injuries reported and five fires were started due to the affected areas, which amount to over $ 340,000 in property damage. Three of the reported fires concerned the death of pets.
