Prince William showed his skills in Wales’s language in honor of St. David’s Day.
“Hello, today on St. David’s Day, we come together to celebrate Wales, her story, her culture and her extraordinary people,” said William, 42, in Wuers in a social media video divided on Saturday, March 1. “From her extraordinary landscapes to her language, Wales continues to inspire.”
He went on, “Today, we will celebrate everything magical for Wales. For all the people of Wales and everyone all over the world, Happy St. David’s Day!”

William and his wife, Princess Kate MiddletonHe recently traveled to the Welsh city of Ponitpridd in February. The royal couple were donated to the relevant titles of the Prince and Princess of Wales by William’s father, King Charles IIIOn his crowning as a monarch. (Charles, 76, previously held the princely title until he took the throne in September 2022 when his mother, Queen Elizabeth IIIdied.)
“As my heir, William now receives the Scottish titles that have thought so much for me. He follows me as the Duke of Cornwall and takes on the responsibilities, which I have taken for more than five decades,” Charles said in his acceptance speech. “Today, I’m proud to create that prince of Wales, Tywysog Cymru, the place whose title I have been so privileged to keep so much of my life and duty.”
Regent added, “With Katerina near him, our young prince and Princess of Wales, I know, will continue to inspire and lead our national conversations, helping to bring Marginal to the central terrain, where life can be given.”
A few days later, William accepted his connection to Wales while talking to politician Mark Drakeford.
“The prince accepted his deep love for him and the princess for Wales after making their first family home in Angesey, including during the earliest months of Prince George’s life,” Kensington Palace said in a statement. “The prince and the princess will spend the months and years ahead deepening their relationship with communities throughout Wales.”
William and Kate, 43, are the parents of the sons Prince George, 11, and Prince Louis, 6, as well as Princess Charlotte’s daughter, 9. The entire Welsh Breod has spent time in the country.
In June 2022, William and Kate even brought their oldest children to a sudden way out in Cardiff Castle in honor of Elizabeth’s platinum jubilee.
