Soho has long been my favorite neighborhood in London. There is a vibrancy and energy that exists only in a few places on the planet. The village in Manhattan, Shibuya in Tokyo and Marais in Paris Each has a similar pulse.
My relationship with Soho started when I first worked there. I opened the terminal bar about 10 years ago. Spending time there every day you realize that the color and fabric of the area are so intertwined with humans and history – and so many of it surround food and drink. These locals constantly evolve and grow. People complain of changes, that soho has become very sanitized, but to catch an area at a certain point and to preserve would be impossible. Would end with a thematic park.
My days in soho always start early. Before 9am is the only real time of calm. I buy a coffee in omotesando, a Japanese coffee dish that has sites all over the world, then wander through the streets, stopping for some morning noodles in Koya. Its Udon is probably the best in London, and the soup is filling and warming. Often there is a row in the door for upholstery of all counter, but moves fast. Inside, the space is narrow, the elbows washing with your neighbor.

Normally, I go straight to the bar after that, but if I have time I will quickly jump to a gallery. The gallery of photographers often has excellent exhibitions; his Shot in soho Show offered us a lot of inspiration and instructions for the photography we show in our country, which has all been taken in local bars and clubs over the years.
For lunch, I am finding it difficult to avoid Mountain, the latest restaurant by Tomos Parry, the chef after Michelin-heard Brat in the East of London. The mountain is stunning, all natural forests and open space, with a kitchen that resembles a falsification in the back of the room. Make sure you look up a table up to see the world pass through the big windows. I will usually order goca, raw Sobrasada With honey and then some of the smallest tiles to split, washed with a glass or two white wine from Balearics. The summer list is really well united.

There are some good stores on the bar again in the bar, including Oliver Spencer, a British brand for men’s clothing that focuses on classic relaxed styles using high quality fabrics; Then you have kitchen provisions around the corner. It reserves an impressive selection of knives from around the world.
I am always again in the three sheets between 4pm, which is often when friends or people working in hospitality pass and there is great energy in the room. I will surely drink a filthy martin, or maybe a glass of Rosé Billecart-Salmon. After that, I will dive for a pint in the coach & horses on the Greek road. It is a Soho institution, with a great team and a wonderful owner, Alison Ross.

For dinner, you are really broken for elections. One favorite is 10 cases, a French bistro who buys only 10 cases of summer at a time. This means that the summer list is always changing and always extraordinary-plus steak-frites is as good as you will get to London. For something a little more old school, I will go to Andrew Edmunds, who feels like it is locked in a time capsule in the best way possible. It continues to be a true Vibe of the neighborhood restaurant. The menu is European classic, the price is relatively approachable and, again, the wine list is great.
For a drink after dinner, I can make ventures (not far away) away soho, because the scarf scarf on the rose is extraordinary. Maybe the most beautiful room in London to drink a drink – for me, or a martyr or a glass of champagne – and the service is great. Andrew Loudon, who has worked in London bars like Whiskers’ Satana and 69 Colebrooke Row Before spending several years in Singapore in Tippling Club, recently took over the reins there, so I am looking forward to seeing what he does with drink offers. Although, if you are after a more energetic night, soho is. Go to the Gerry club, which always has live music and an eclectic crowd. Is a true taste of the area.
