The event in October 2024 was Kate’s first official appearance as a high Royal working since she completed her chemotherapy treatment.
Middleton was diagnosed with an unknown form of cancer in early 2024, limiting all public engagements as she underwent a precursor round of chemistry. She finished her treatment in September 2024.
“As the summer is over, I can’t tell you what relief is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” Kate said in a video statement at the time. “The last nine months have been very difficult for us as a family. Life as you know can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to sail in stormwater and unknown road.”

“Humbly, it also brings you face to face with your weaknesses in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything,” Kate’s statement continued.
“This time, above all, has remembered William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple but important things in life that so many of us often take for granted,” she added. “For just dear and being dear.”
