Gayheart, 53, shared a message about “true luxury in life” through stories on Instagram on Friday, April 11.
The list, which seemed to be taken from an unidentified book, listed: “Time, health, a calm mind, slow mornings, ability to travel, rest without guilt, a good sleep, quiet and ‘boring days,” significant conversations, home -cooked foods, people you love again. “
Gayheart’s social media message comes hours after Dane, 52, announced on Thursday, April 10, that he was diagnosed with ALS, or amyotrophic side sclerosis.
“I have been diagnosed with Als. I am grateful to have my beloved family on my part as we sail in this next chapter,” he said in a separate statement with people. “I feel lucky to be able to continue working and I look forward to returning to the euphoria group next week. I kindly ask you to give my family and I intimacy during this time.”
Gayheart and Dane were married in 2004 and shared two daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13. After 14 years of wedding, Gayheart presented for divorce from 2018, citing uncontested differences as the reason for their separation. They split for seven years before Gayheart appeared to dismiss divorce on Thursday – a few hours before the news of Dane’s disease was released.
“We are the best friends. We are really close. We are great fragmented,” Gayheart said And! tidings Wednesday, April 9. “We really understood the formula to stay a family and I think our children are benefiting greatly from it and we are too.”

“I think it’s important not to see a relationship that ends up as a failure. Just just one season. It was not a failure. It was a great success,” she continued in the same interview. “We were married, I mean, we are still married, but together for 15 years and we have had two beautiful children, so I think this is a successful relationship, and so we look at it.”
Gayheart previously spoke with US Weekly exclusively to copy their daughters in the middle of the split.
“We’re doing our best,” she said in October 2018. “It’s not easy.”
Gayheart further explained that she was “devoted” to gather, detailing what makes her more challenging.
“I think as a woman you have to be able to always take care of yourself and never depend on a man,” she said at the time. “I’m going back to work and I think it’s partly because I want my daughters to see me work. I took some time to have my kids.”
