Tottenham kept their hopes alive for the success of the Europa League with a 1-0 protected victory over Eintracht Frankfurt to win 2-1 in aggregates and reserve their place in the semifinals.

Now they will face the Norwegian team Bodo/Glimt in Final Four, after their penalty victory over Lazio, in an effort to reach their first European final since the heart of the Champions League against Liverpool in 2019.

Pressure grew up in the Ange Postecoglou in the creation of the game, after a bad 4-2 loss to the wolf last weekend, with their hopes for European qualification and the jeweler also hanging in the second match in Germany.

His team responded to the noise with a stoic defensive show to keep Frankfurt quiet in the opening stages of the game, before Dominic Solanke’s penalty surrendered his side in the tie after goalkeeper Kaua Santos collapsed in James Madison shortly before the interval.

Micky van de Ven, Rodrigo Bentancur and Pedro Porro were all influential in the defensive end to keep the advantage intact, while Guglielmo Vacrio also responded to recent criticisms with stunning savings to keep Chaiibi’s head prices from close distance.

It was far from a perfect offensive performance, but the engagement at the opposite end of the field was commendable.

The spurs season and hopes of ending the 17-year-old reception for a trophy remain alive and well, but the Postecoglou side will not avoid attention for a long time, with a difficult test against Nottingham Forest, live in Heavenlyapproaching quickly on Monday.

Postecoglou: People like to make fun of but i won’t change

Tottenham chief Ange postcoglou Talking about TNT Sports:

When asked if the victory would be silent critics, Postecoglou said: “Doubt! My pleasure comes from watching this group of rewarded players. They have never lost faith. Super proud of them.

“I will leave it. People like to make fun of and ridicule. They reduce my achievements. I will continue to do what I do.

“We are in the last four. The semifinal of a competition in Europe. We are not often there.”

Will Postecoglou’s overtaking?

Patrick rowe of Sky Sports …

“I always win things in my second year,” Postecoglou said at the beginning of the season.

It was a statement that has reached a lot about this team for much of the 2024/25 campaign, especially after the FA Cup and Carabao Cup appearances.

Players’ ratings: Bentancur battles to help encourage through

Eintracht Frankfurt: Santos (5), Theate (6), Ekend (7), Kristesen (6), Skhiri (6), Bahoya (5), Gotze (N / A), track (6).

Under: Uzun (6), place (n / a), kenaff (n / a)

Match player: Rodrigo Bentancur

However, with pressure and noise gathering on them going to this match, they responded and now move one step closer to the test of all the wrong critics.

It was a show that was needed by these players. There have been questions about their character, gravel and determination throughout this season, but this show, in a hostile Deutsche Bank park, showed all those qualities abundantly.

They are not there yet, but if they play for the rest of the competition, they will be difficult to defeat.
