Meta announced on Tuesday that she is officially starting edits, her application for creating Kapcut -like videos. Global release, edits will allow creators to do such things as to keep track of video ideas, get inspiration for new content, and create videos with it. The app is available in iOS and Android.
All the features of the app will be free of charge at boot. However, heading on Instagram Adam Mosser said earlier this month that later versions of edits may include paid features.
The company first said it was working on editing again in January after CAPCUT owned by Bytedance was removed from the US application stores when TIKTOK detention came into force immediately. Although the app has been back to the Internet since then and is available to be downloaded, the future of Tiktok in the US remains unsafe, so Meta is ready to benefit from the possible lack of CAPCUT in the future.
Starting the new app also allows meta and Instagram to push creators of all kinds to use edits compared to CAPCUT for all their contents in short. In posting his announcement, Instagram notes that edits are created to help creators make videos not only for Instagram or Facebook, but for “Any Platform”, which is likely to have a reference for competitors like Tiktok and YouTube Shorts.
It is worth noting that a big difference between edits and Capcut is the fact that edits allow you to export you watery videos. In comparison, you have to pay for Capcuti Pro to export a video without a filigree.
As for the features themselves, the “app” tool of the application allows you to mark ideas for new videos, while the feature “Projects” helps you organize and manage different creations in one place. The “inspiration” tool allows you to browse through the audio trend to create videos with the audio you find.
The feature of the “Green Screen” edits allows you to replace the background of your videos. Plus, the “Timeline” feature helps you adjust and fix the clips. You can also add automatic titles to your videos, along with the music from the Instagram Library.
In addition, you can turn static images into the video using it thanks to the “animate” feature of the application. The “Cutouts” features of the application allow you to isolate specific objects with precision tracking.
Once you are satisfied with your video, you can share it directly on Instagram or Facebook from within the app. Or, you can choose to export the video to post it on other platforms.

Edits also contain knowledge that can help you learn about your content strategy and the factors that can affect your extent and distribution.
Meta has tear down some new features that will be available in future edits, including a “modifying” tool that will allow the creator to use it to change the “appearance and feeling” of their videos. Moreover, a “keyframes” feature allows users to choose specific moments to change the position, rotation or size of their clips.
Plus, creators will soon be able to cooperate with creators or other brands to get impressed in their designs. Meta also plans to release more letters, animations of text, transitions, sound effects, filters, sound effects and musical options in the future.
