Exeter Toni Rowe chairman has suspended coaches Rob Hunter and Ali Hepher after the Gallagher Premier League chief record against gloucester.
Hunter took over from hepher as a leading coach in March, with Hepher a role that oversees Exeter’s back and offensive strategy by the end of this season.
Exeter has won only three games of the prime minister this term, and they were spectacularly discovered in Kingsholm, losing 79-17 and accepting 13 evidence.
Television footage showed an animated Rowe speaking his mind as he turned to players and coaches in the post -match dressing room.
Exeter said Rowe had made the decision “pending a full review of the match and season 2024/25 so far.”
Rowe said: “No final decision regarding the training structure of the club that goes ahead has been taken, and it would be indecent to make any further comment until all internal procedures are completed.”
The club added that Rugby’s long -service director Rob Baxter will enter the “first line training role” to oversee the rest of this term.
The bosses have three matches of a deplorable campaign, waiting for Northampton on May 11, visiting Harlequins seven days later and then entertaining sale on May 31.
They are currently nine in the prime minister, with only Newcastle below them, and 17 adrift points of eighth quins.
Speaking after losing Gloucester, Hunter told reporters that he had been “his worst day as coach”.
Hunter said: “Except for how we feel individually, the first thing to know is that it was no acceptable way for us to perform like that.
“It has not hidden away, and we have not tried to hide from it in the shift room.
“Clearly, we’ve gone under an avalanche of pressure and intensity from gloucester and wiled under it. It’s not a case of returning to the drawing board, it’s more of a case of lessons you think you are learning, you are not learning.
“We will not leave this, we will sit down all week and simmer with it until we play our next game. No one is looking for an arm around them.”
Hoooker replacement Jack Singleton scored three attempts in the 10 minutes of the second half while the gloucester retired for victory and stayed on the course for a possible play-off location.
