A former TV production assistant told a jury on Wednesday that Harvey Weinstein held her on a bed and forced her oral sex after she had told him: “No, no – it will not happen.”
Miriam Haley dipped her eyes and remembered that she ran through her head during the alleged attack in July 2006: “The only unthinkable found that an unthinkable thing could happen. I just didn’t know where it ended.”
Weinstein, who was sitting between his lawyers, shook her head as she spoke.
Haley, who also followed the name Mimi Haleyi, is the first of the prosecutors of the ex-Hollywood Honcho, who testifies in his rape funding. It happens because New York’s highest court of Weinstein’s conviction in 2020.
The 73-year-old former studio boss has not guilty and denied having sexually attacked someone.
Haley testified during the original exam and was open last year about her mixed feelings about the repeat of experience.
Weinstein’s lawyers did not yet have the chance to ask them and possibly try to sting holes in their account. But the defense has sought strongly – albeit often unsuccessfully – to curb the scope of Haley’s certificate by leaning against the questions of the prosecutors, such as: B. several inquiries about whether she had sexual interest in Weinstein. Haley said she didn’t do it.
The defense has argued that all of the Weinstein accusers have agreed with sexual encounters with him, hoping to get work in the show business.

Haley started her testimony on Tuesday by describing how she got to know Weinstein, briefly working as a production assistant in his company’s reality show Runway project In June 2006 and a number of interactions with him, which were sometimes inappropriate and suggestive, but sometimes professional and polite.
Two months before she said he had attacked her in his apartment in Manhattan, Haley said that she went to Weinstein’s hotel room to talk about potential jobs in the film and television business.
He “started talking about other things quickly,” she told the jury on Tuesday.
He commented on her legs and proposed to give each other massages, said Haley. She rejected his progress and says that she broke out into tears as soon as she went.
“I felt surprised. I felt humiliated,” she said. “It was just a bit of a falling feeling that he didn’t take me seriously at all.”

During her encounters, Haley said, she only looked for professional chances for sex or romantic with the then powerful producer of Oscar winners like Shakespeare in love And Gangs of New York.
Weinstein’s repetitions contain accusations based on allegations by Haley and another accuser from the original process, Jessica Mann, who was once an emerging actor. She claims that Weinstein raped her in 2013.
He will also be brought to court for the first time because he forced the former model Kaja Sokola Oral sex in 2006. Her claim was not part of the first process.
It is also expected that man and Sokola will say at some point.
