Blake Lively has been in the business for two decades, making headlines both on and off screen.
Lively rose to fame playing Bridget in the The sister of the traveling pants franchise opposite America Ferrera (Carmen), Alexis Bledel (Lena) and Amber Tamblyn (Tibby). Since the first film in 2005, the four have remained close.
“When you’re that close, you can sit down with someone and jump right into the deepest conversations, which are the only kind of relationships I want to have,” Tamblyn said exclusively. Us Weekly in February 2019, noting that they often have dates with their respective children.
“(They’re) stuffed with lots of delicious, cream-filled donuts and … catching up the whole time we haven’t seen each other,” Tamblyn said at the time. “I guess that’s how all girlfriends are.”
Tamblyn, Bledel and Ferrera also had Lively in December 2024 when Gossip Girl alum sued him It ends with Us director, Justin Baldonifor sexual harassment. (Baldoni denied the claims.)

Baldoni played Ryle Kincaid, the abusive husband of Lively’s Lily Bloom, in 2024. It ends with Us.
“Blake was involved in every aspect of the film as soon as he came into the project, from the scenes and the dialogue all the way to the end,” said Baldoni. Entertainment Weekly in August 2024. “She has been involved in all of this and has been a powerhouse of a creative and wonderful collaborator.”
It became clear that there was a problem, however, when they did not do any promos for the film together. Lively never publicly addressed the apparent feud with Baldoni until she named him in a sexual harassment lawsuit in December 2024. He denied the allegations, later filing a $250 million lawsuit against ofNew York Times for defamation and invasion of privacy. Baldoni and his legal team argued that the newspaper published a “vicious smear campaign completely orchestrated” by Lively’s camp.
Among several allegations in the two legal filings, he alleged that Lively made a “calculated and bold attempt to seize control” of It ends with us, including her husband’s employment Ryan Reynoldseditor to make a new cut of the film. (Lively was an executive producer on the project.)
“She has officially kicked me out of the movie now,” Baldoni allegedly wrote in text messages to his team, which he cited in court documents. “She’s finishing it all. I can’t get involved. Soundtrack VFX everything. I’ll get through it somehow. You just have to feel it all.”
Meanwhile, Lively’s attorney denied the claims in a statement: “This lawsuit is based on the patently false premise that Ms. that court case was never her ultimate goal.”

of Sister of the Traveling Pants the stars have long been vocal about their enduring relationship. Ferrera, Bledel and Tamblyn even released a statement of support amid Lively and Baldoni’s legal case.
“As friends and sisters of Blake for over twenty years, we stand with her in solidarity as she fights against the reported campaign waged to destroy her reputation,” they wrote in a joint statement on Instagram in December 2024. “During the entire filming of It ends with Uswe saw her muster the courage to demand a safe workplace for herself and colleagues in the square, and we are horrified to read the evidence of a premeditated and vindictive attempt to discredit her voice that followed.”
They concluded, “Most troubling is the shameless use of the stories of survivors of domestic violence to silence a woman seeking safety. The hypocrisy is astounding. We are struck by the reality that even if a woman is as strong, famous and rich as our friend Blake, she can face strong retaliation for daring to demand a safe work environment. We are inspired by our sister’s courage to protect herself and others.”

Slate played Allysa, Ryle’s sister and Lily’s best friend, in the It ends with Us. She also stood in Lively’s corner amid the lawsuit.
“As a fellow actor and friend of Blake Lively, I offer my support as she takes action against those who reportedly planned and carried out an attack on her reputation,” she said in a statement to today in December 2024. “Blake is a leader, loyal friend and a trusted source of emotional support to me and many who know and love him. What has been revealed about the attack on Blake is terrifyingly dark, disturbing and downright menacing. I congratulate my friend, I admire her bravery and I stand by her side.”

Kendrick starred with Lively in two A simple favor movies.
“It was great to have that kind of partner-in-crime vibe with you,” Kendrick told Lively in a joint Buzzfeed interview from 2018. “Sometimes you work with someone and they’re great — they’re really, really wonderful — and they just have a very different style of work, shall we say. You know, they’re the kind of person that you can’t come to them in the middle and say, “No, let me tell you what happened.” So that was great.”
They reunited in A simple favor 2which was filmed in 2024.
“She lives on the East Coast, I live on the West Coast, so we don’t get to see each other very often,” Kendrick said. The people that October. “But it was lovely and I think those characters have such a weird chemistry that it’s so fun to get the gang back together. And it feels a bit like riding a bike.”

Badgley and Lively played a couple in the sequel Gossip Girl throughout its seven-season run on The CW. They also met in real life.
“Beyond our relationship, I don’t think anyone would be interested in me publicly,” he said Variety in 2023. “To be honest, I have never struggled with the substance. Blake didn’t drink, and I think our relationship kind of saved me from forcing myself to go down that path.”
While Badgley and Lively eventually split in 2010, their characters of Dan and Serena were getting back together. They got married in the series finale.
“I certainly don’t think it was difficult for anybody,” Badgley said during a September 2024 episode of his “Podcrushed” podcast. “I’m sure we were exes for almost half of the whole series. It lasted for almost six years and I don’t think we were together for more than two.”

Crawford, who played Nate in the Gossip Girlcorroborated Badgley’s remarks that he and Lively worked together amicably after the split.

“Usually it’s not my thing to make these kinds of videos, but I think it’s time to stand up for a person that I really love and that person is Blake Lively,” he said in a December 2024 Instagram video. “I personally met her Blake during A Simple Favor 2. We shot this incredible movie together and I felt something was wrong, and I felt the pain… We had a chance to talk, me and her, (and) Blake was in pain.”
He added: “Blake, I love you so much. Keep it up and we’ll see each other very soon.”

During Lively’s Gossip Girl mandate, rumors spread that the actress and co-direct Leighton Meester were in disagreement. Trachtenberg later denied the claims while speaking to Vanity Fairin 2017.
“It’s funny because when we were filming, it was, ‘Leighton hates Blake, Blake hates Leighton, everybody hates Blake, everybody hates Leighton, everybody hates Chace,’ and blah, blah, blah,” Trachtenberg recalled. It wasn’t really. We were all cool. It was cool.”

“She’s so magical and cute,” Rutherford said in a 2022 episode of Beyond the Velvet Rope podcast. “She just has such a way about her. She’s very inspiring because she’s really fearless, she’s not afraid of anyone and she’s very open.”
Rutherford, however, admitted that she did not have a close relationship with Lively during the pilot as she was a new mother in real life.
“I just didn’t have the bandwidth,” she said. “But it worked great because there was a kind of separation that allowed for that relationship. It created enough distance where it worked to parent that way.”
