The actress, 57, offered a glimpse into her marriage to Urban, 57, when asked if she sings in the shower. “Yes,” she said In the Magazine in an interview published on Friday, January 3. “I also listen to Keith singing in the shower and I’ll listen to his new songs being formed.”
Kidman elaborated on her bathroom arrangement. “We have a double shower,” she added. “Two-head shower: the key to a successful marriage. Separate commodes and a shower with two heads!”
The couple, who have been married since 2006, aren’t the only ones who have discussed their bathroom layout. Daryl Sabara AND Meghan Trainor made headlines when they discussed the special feature they had installed in their home.
“We just got a new house and we did construction,” Trainor, 31, said on “Why Won’t You Date Me?” podcast in October 2021. “No one knows this, but there was a toilet in our bathroom and many times in the middle of the night when we are with the baby, we have to pee at the same time. So I said, ‘Can we have two toilets next to each other?’
She added: “We have two toilets sitting next to each other and we’ve only gone out twice together. We used to urinate a lot at the same time.”
Trainor later defended herself by discussing the duo’s bathroom habits. “I thought someone might be interested in it, I didn’t think it would go viral like it did — to the point where it affected our relationship,” she said on a July 2022 episode of the Pretty Basic podcast. “Daryl said, ‘You’ve got to stop.’ I said, ‘Why? People love it!'”
Despite moving houses, Trainor and Sabara, 32, still found a way to keep the tradition alive.
“We’re moving into a new house, and she has a toilet facing this way and a bidet across from it,” Trainor, 30, said in a July 2024 episode. Dax Shepardthe Armchair Expert podcast. “So I have to make this (bidet) a toilet. So it’s going to be a little different, but it’s a tighter bathroom area, so we’re going to be close. Knees on knees. And that’s better, I want to see it.”
The singer recalled how the setup began, adding, “When we first got there, there was, like, an old-school bidet, and I said, ‘We’re not going to use that.’ I said, ‘I have an extra toilet, let’s open it next to it,’ and my plumber laughed at me. And I said, ‘What’s so funny, my friend? Get up there! Like, go ahead.’”
According to Trainor, their second toilet was added later for practical reasons.
“That’s why we did it. “Because we have little babies, so we wake up every hour on the hour, and this guy pees like a girl, so I’m like, ‘Get out of my way, I have to pee,'” she recalled. “Sometimes if I’m peeing and he has to go, I’ll open my legs and go, ‘Come in!’ And he’s like, ‘No, I’m not doing that.’ There’s a shower, you see. So then I solved this crime and said, ‘We’re going to pee at the same time, in our bowls.'”
She continued: “Oh, (but) I don’t like him going out near me. I tell him that. I go, ‘You know you shouldn’t do that.’ We just peed. We’re not s-tin’. You guys guessed the poop, didn’t you?”
