Olivia Wong/FilmMagicNikki Glaser She’s no stranger to making controversial jokes, but there’s one hot-button issue she doesn’t plan to address while she’s hosting the 2025 Golden Globe Awards.
“I think that Blake Lively–Justin Baldoni the thing is so hot right now that even the mere mention of it will make it seem like I might be on the wrong side of things, even though I never would be,” Glaser, 40, told Yahoo! Fun on Thursday, January 2. “I don’t want to give any (weight) his name either.”
She added, “I’m sick of even knowing his name, to be honest with you, so I don’t need to say it anymore.”
Lively, 37, named Baldoni, 40, in a December 2024 lawsuit, accusing him of sexual harassment and fostering a “hostile work environment” during the filming of 2024 It ends with Us. Lively also claimed that Baldoni caused her “severe emotional distress” and attempted to mount a campaign of “social manipulation” to destroy her reputation in an alleged attempt to protect his image.
“I hope my legal action will help pull back the curtain on these evil retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and help protect others who may be targeted,” Lively said. Us Weekly in a statement last month.

“We plan to publish every single message between them. We want the truth to be out there,” Baldon’s lawyer Bryan Freedman told NBC News on Thursday. “We want the documents to be there. We want people to decide based on the bills.”
Lively and Baldoni’s legal battle inspired a number of Hollywood stars, including Kate Beckinsale AND Abigail Breslinto come forward with their stories of alleged misconduct in the industry.
Glaser, however, doesn’t plan to include any hotly contested movies in her opening monologue on Sunday.
“There are some people we all know who don’t have a sense of humor about themselves, and if I made that person laugh, it tells the people in the room, ‘OK, it’s safe to laugh.’ ,” the humorist. said Variety on Thursday. “I had a joke that I don’t think will make the final monologue: ‘The camera will be on you. Pro tip: Just laugh. It’s a very good way to get the audience at home to like you.’
Glaser added, “I don’t understand why the publicists haven’t told them that. When you laugh at a joke about yourself, it makes you look so friendly, so cute, so beautiful. I’m trying to help you. That way you don’t have to play Hip-Hop Hopscotch with Jimmy Fallon to look cool.”
The 82nd annual Golden Globes airs live on Sunday, January 5, 2025, on CBS at 8:00 PM ET. The ceremony will also be broadcast live on Paramount+.
