Your guide to what the 2024 American elections mean for Washington and the world

The US has disrupted the division of intelligence with Kyiv into a move that can seriously hinder the ability of the Ukrainian army to aim for Russian forces, according to officials known with the issue.

The measure follows the decision on Monday by the Trump administration to suspend the remittances of military aid to Ukraine and comes after a dramatic division in relations between US President and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

US intelligence cooperation has been essential to Ukraine’s ability to identify and hit Russian military objectives.

Three known officials with the decision confirmed that Washington had frozen intelligence channels with Kyiv.

While the US has also officially blocked its allies from sharing US intelligence with Ukraine, two officials said recipients with domestically wealth were likely to continue to move to the relevant intelligence in Kyiv. But this would not apply to time -sensitive intelligence and high value, such as the one needed for Ukraine to perform precise strikes in Russian movable targets.

The US decision to stop its allies from the passage of intelligence in Ukraine was first reported by the Daily Mail.

After a hot oval clash between Zelenskyy and Trump, relations between Washington and Kyiv deteriorated before the last signs of repair.

Zelenskyy did a remorse show on Tuesday, saying the meeting in front of the television cameras was “to come unfortunate” and Ukraine was ready to come to the negotiation table as soon as possible “.

He also said in a letter that he was ready to sign a deal with Trump “at all times” that would give the US the rights to benefit from the exploitation of Ukraine’s natural resources.

In his state’s state speech on Tuesday evening, Trump – who previously called the democratically elected Zelenskyy a “dictator” – said he praised the words of Ukraine leader.

On Wednesday Mike Waltz, US National Security Adviser, suggested that military aid to Ukraine could be resumed.

“I think if we can reject these negotiations and move on to these negotiations, and in fact, set some measures to build confidence on the table, then the president will look a lot in lifting this pause,” Waltz Fox News told.
