Angela Bassett Is still not over her costume Peter Krause’s Bobby Nash character being killed 9-1-1.
Talking to talk People In an interview published Thursday, May 8, Bassett, 66, admitted that she was still saddened by shocking death on TV.
“I’m in mourning,” Bassett told him, who played Nashit Athena’s wife for The Outlet. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. It wasn’t my choice. I don’t know.”
The actress then shared a message to the show fans, saying to them, “Keep Hope alive. Maybe he will return to my dreams, you know, my memories.”
The character of Krause, Captain Nash, died in a bilateral drama episode, which aired on April 17 after contracting a deadly virus. In the hero’s last move, Nash sacrificed himself to save his colleague Howard ‘Chimney’ Han (Kenneth Choi) which was also infected with the rare virus after taking their hands in the vaccine – but the dose was enough to save one of them.
Prior to his death, Nash had only enough time to say a heartfelt farewell to Athena in the scenes of tears. Athena, the chimney and the rest of 118 are now dealing with the consequences of Nashi’s death in the subsequent episodes of the show.
Basset previously shared her distrust that Krause’s time in the series had ended, which was particularly unexpected given that the actor had been money and center since the beginning of 9-1 to 2018.

We have to do something really dramatic – and someone will die, “” Bassett said Hollywood Reporter In an interview published after the broadcast of the episode. “And then there is a pause, of course. And I said,” Is it … Athena? Am I?! “He was like, ‘no.’ “
Bassett remembered that she continued to speculate which actor and their character would no longer be on the show, but Krause’s idea didn’t even happen to her.
“I think finally, after about three or four names, I was like,”? Seed? ” – because it was inconceivable to me it was Bobby,” Bassett said. “It was extraordinary for me who was Bobby, so it was just very startling. Sometimes, you’re just a dumb hit – and that’s one of those moments because their connection was so wonderful and so strong these four or five years. I didn’t see what was coming.
For his part, Krause, 59, wrote an open emotional letter through social media after the dramatic two -part event and made tribute to everyone involved, including 9-1-1 Cast, crew and fans.
“I have heard that many fans are upset by this loss and they are right to be. This is a loss. That said, it was more than a bold creative choice in a bold show. Bobby Nash was written in sacrifice and he was built on this. The first respondents risk their lives at work so that others can see another day. 9-1-1 Greet all the incredible men and women who do these dangerous jobs and try to keep us safe, ”Krause wrote.
He added: “I will miss my entire family 9-1-1. Our incredible crew whose professional excellence is not the second to none. All writers who continue to attract rabbits from hats. All directors loaded with the same thing. Jennifer Love Hewitt and caste in the call center. I will miss my partner, Angela Bassett. Its strength and sweetness, and we holding hands. We shared ways very quickly. Much love. “
