PREGNANT Brittany Mahomes chose a comfortable game day, cheering for the man Patrick Mahomes and his Kansas City Chiefs teammates on TV.
“I'm cooking and watching daddy,” Brittany, 29, wrote via Instagram Story on Wednesday, Dec. 25, referring to husband Patrick's away game in Pittsburgh.
In the photo, Brittany and 3-year-old daughter Sterling wore beige and white flannel pajama sets as they cooked up a storm in their kitchen. They were joined by Patrick's mother, Randiand his younger sister my.
“Already on our second baking box,” Brittany wrote, pointing to her festive cupcakes.
Brittany and Sterling got roasted during Patrick's holiday game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. While the cakes were in the oven, they jumped into the soccer game with 21-month-old Bronze.
“Game day snuggles,” Brittany captioned a follow-up Instagram photo with Bronze.
Earlier Wednesday, Patrick, 29, joked in a pre-taped interview on Netflix that Brittany is about to give birth to baby No. 3 “any day now”.
“Brittany says I've been stressing her out a lot this season,” Patrick told the sportscaster. Kay Adams. “So I've got to try not to stress her out so much through these soccer games — and get my goodbyes.”
He added, “Hopefully God works the right way and we can have that baby in the bye week somewhere. Then everything will work perfectly.”
Patrick went on to say that his wife, who he started dating in high school, deserves an MVP trophy this NFL season.
“The MVP because she's going to come (in the playoffs) and tear it up,” Patrick said. “We're going to have three babies and I can take a long break and just focus on playing football and raising those babies.”
Wednesday's game is one of the last regular season games of the year.
“Anytime you play the Steelers, you know it's going to be a fight,” Patrick teased. “They will give you their best every time – and it's a great football team. That is why they are in the position they are. It's going to be a great game, we're going to be in a great environment in Pittsburgh and I'm excited about that.”
Since Patrick is playing football on Christmas Day, he celebrated the holiday with Brittany and the kids earlier this week.
“Christmas with the Mahomeses is a lot of chasing kids around,” he told Adams in the Netflix segment. “Santa leaves surprises for children. Seeing them grow up and understand what the holidays are all about; I'm doing those traditions now. I hope to have some that I will have for the rest of my life.”
