Cameron Diaz is ready to reprise the role that made him famous.

“If Jim is on board … I mean, I’ve been riding those coats since day one,” Diaz said Enter Hollywood in a recent interview.
Carrey, for his part, reflected on 30 years of masks and whether he would be interested in a sequel while promoting last year’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3. “Oh god, I know, it must be the right idea. If somebody had the right idea, I guess,” Carrey, 63, told ComicBook.com in December 2024. “It’s not really about the money. I joke about money … but you never know. You can’t be sure about these things. I said I’d like to retire, but I think I was talking more about power rest. Because once you get a good idea, or a group of people that you’ve really enjoyed working with and stuff, it just — things tend to change.”
Diaz got her big Hollywood break in the original Maskplaying nightclub singer Tina opposite Carrey’s Stanley Ipkis, who discovers a magical mask that transforms him into a green-faced evil hero.
The actress continued her role in masks with successful films such as There is something about Mary, My best friend’s wedding AND Charlie’s Angelsmaking him one of the biggest Hollywood stars of the 90s and early 2000s.

Diaz quietly took a break from acting in 2014 after starring in the film Eni but now it’s back on the big screen in front of her Eni useless Jamie Foxx on Netflix Back in Action. The actress recently shared how much she enjoyed her break from acting.
“Oh my God, I loved it. It was the best 10 years of my life,” Diaz said on the Friday, January 17, episode. The Graham Norton Show. “I was free to just say, ‘I’m a mother, I’m a woman, I’m living my life.'”
Diaz went on to say that leaving acting “made sense for (her) family at the time, as she and her husband Benji Maddenwhom she married in 2015, have two children: daughter Raddix, born in 2019, and son Cardinal, born in 2024. Diaz added that after a while “people stopped asking” her to take on new roles. “It was so beautiful,” she said.
But now holidays the star is ready to return to the limelight.
“It’s a privilege to do this,” she told the host Graham Norton about acting. “I just said to myself, if I let this go, all this goodwill, all this that I’ve been able to build up for so long, the passion that I have for entertaining people and making movies that (make) people smile and laugh and have a good time, and they sit in the theater or sit at home and it excites them – if I don’t get involved in this again and give it a chance, I participate in it and I’m grateful for I would be a fool.”
