Many of Candice’s home furnishings and modern artwork are expected to be sold at a fire sale auction, according to Page six. According to the outlet, many of the items are listed on the website Auction Ninja.
The website has a current sale for “an exclusive curated online auction” on the Mecox Bay Water Mill Estate. (Candice, 42, and Brandon, who died in 2024 at age 43, owned a mansion in Water Mill, New York.)
“Mecox Bay Water Mill Estate, an exclusive curated online auction, offers a unique opportunity to bid on eclectic and high-end items from a beautifully designed Hamptons home created by renowned interior designers Julie Hillman”, reads an online description. “Known for her sophisticated blend of modern and traditional styles, Hillman’s design for this seaside retreat is a true reflection of her distinctive aesthetic – blending luxurious comfort with timeless elegance.”
The statement adds, “Akandi presents a carefully selected collection of fine art, furniture, decor and custom pieces that were part of the home’s decor, offering an exclusive chance to own a piece of this stunning, handcrafted living space meticulously. For collectors and design enthusiasts, this is an unforgettable opportunity to purchase rare items, beautifully curated with the unique touch of a famous designer.”
The auction does not mention either Candice or Brandon by name and is scheduled to close on Tuesday, January 7.
Brandon, a prominent financier, died by suicide in July 2024 at the age of 43. He is survived by his wife Candice, who previously ran the lifestyle blog Mama & Tata, and their two children.

Two months later, Candice was sued for $195,000 in unpaid rent on their Manhattan apartment. In court documents obtained by Us WeeklyCandice was accused of not paying the monthly fee. Candice’s lawyers filed a new response late last month, arguing that she should not be included in the case since her name was never on the apartment lease.
According to New York TimesCandice also claimed in December 2024 court documents that Brandon was $33.6 million in debt at the time of his death. She claimed that she only has $8,000 in a bank account and is then unable to repay his loans. of Times further reported that Candice also cashed in on Brandon’s $15 million life insurance policy and sold their shared condo earlier that month.
Candice claimed in the documents that she had no knowledge of Brandon’s financial situation before his death. She has not spoken publicly about the court battle.
