Chelsea Freeman provided a hopeful update for her son MAX4, which was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder last year.
Max – whom Chelsea shares with her husband, Los Angeles Dodgers Star Freddie Freeman – He was rushed to the hospital in July 2024 as he was unable to sit, stay or stroll. Chelsea, 33, and Freddie, 35, eventually announced that Max was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, an autoimmune disorder during which the body’s immune system attacks nerves.
In an exclusive interview with The weeklyChelsea explained how Max has progressed in the months since his original layout.

Max, who returned 4 years old in February, is doing much more than just playing abroad. Chelsea said he is already taking swimming lessons and she and Fred recently signed her to play Little League.
“I wasn’t sure a few months ago if he would be able to play baseball,” Chelsea admitted. “You don’t know exactly how the recovery will go.”
Not only Max is getting after his father – who was named the World MVP series in October after Dodgers defeated New York Yankees in five games – he is also taking the stick in the same way that his two older brothers did before him.
In addition to Max, Chelsea and Freddie also share boys dumbfound8, and Brandon4, who was born three months before Max through Surrogacia.
