Two of the stars from TLC’s Women Sisters are revealing their relationship status to other ex-sister wives.
Throughout the last season of Women Sistersfans have seen the Brown family continue to fracture as Christine Brown, Janelle Brown AND Mary Brown they left the house they once shared with their husband Cody Brown and his wife, Robyn Brown.
Now, women are no longer involved in a polygamous relationship and instead have moved on with their separate lives. The only female sister who remains married to Kody is Robyn.
During a recent episode of “Deceptive Energy,” a Heart podcast, Christine and Janelle, who have remained friends and still consider each other “family” despite leaving Kody, opened up about their relationship with Merin and Robyn.
“I haven’t spoken to Mary or Robyn in years and it’s ridiculous,” Christine revealed. “We will keep it like this. I don’t need to form a relationship with them.”
After marrying her husband, David Woolleyin October 2023, Christine said that while Janelle attended the party, Meri and Robyn did not.
“One great thing about being older when you get married is that you only get to invite the people you really want there,” Christine continued.
“There are no mandatory invitations addressed to any Uncle Bob or Uncle Jed, but you say, ‘I really don’t want him there. He’ll blah, blah, blah. He always does this blah, blah, blah.’ It didn’t have to,” Christine said on the podcast. “We really only invited our closest friends to our wedding.”
“And you were one of our closest friends,” she told Janelle. “I’m not friends with Kody, Meri or Robyn, and I didn’t have to be. I had to invite only what I wanted.”
As for Janela, she said she “has had some interactions with Mary” and Kody because of a property owned between the three.
“I think she’s been very happy,” Janelle said of Mary. “She’s living her life. Do you know what I mean? So we’ve been working cohesively to fix the property situation, which has been good.”
“I haven’t had any interaction with Robyn,” Janelle continued. “I didn’t ask for it. I don’t superimpose that on any part of my life.”
Janelle added that she’s excited to check herself out moving forward, and Christine says she finally found the teammate she wanted in her new husband.
But as the Browns go their separate ways, Kody’s relationship with the children he shares with Janelle, Mary and Christine have suffered.
During the last episode of Women SistersKody said he refuses to “cut off” wife Robyn in order to have a relationship with his other children.
“My children will always be my children and the door will always be open to them,” he admitted, adding that the caveat is that his children must take the first step towards rebuilding their relationship. “They have to go through that door.”
“I’m going to reach out for this, but I’m going to hold this hand that’s next to me and I’m not going to let go of that hand,” he said, referring to Robyn. “I’m not going to cut off Rob to have a relationship with my kids.”
As for Christine and Janelle’s children, they agreed on the podcast that they know they have “two moms” in them as they called their family a “success” given how closely they raised them while in a plural marriage.
