Almost a year after filing for divorce from his wife Olivia, Ethan Plath there is someone new in his life.
the 26-year-old Welcome to Plathville The star posted a carousel of photos via Instagram on Wednesday, January 1, introducing his followers to his new girlfriend. He has not revealed her name or how they met.
“Proud to introduce you to my sweet girlfriend! She is truly one of the sweetest, kindest and most patient people I have ever met!” Ethan wrote. “We look forward to next year and what it has to bring. Wishing you all a very happy new year! Here we go 2025!”
The first photo shows the pair sitting outside a car repair shop, followed by a montage of photos that Ethan appeared to have taken without her knowledge before slowly realizing he was being photographed looking inside her car.
Other photos included a bathroom selfie of the two posing in front of a yellow convertible and more photos of them sitting together, page by page.
Ethan and Olivia, also 26, split in 2023 after five years of marriage. They finalized their divorce in 2024, as fans watched the drama unfold on Season 6 of the TLC show.
Although Ethan was initially reluctant to get back into the dating pool, Olivia has been candid about her love life since their split.
“I’ve been dating outside of LA mostly long distance,” she said in a season 6 episode. in LA, figuring myself out — out and still having fun when I’m traveling, going on dates, talking to people, but I’m not seeing them every day.”
Her new boyfriend, Brendan, also appeared in the final season of Welcome to Plathville.
Ethan, who admitted he had trouble moving on from Olivia, returned there in a later episode last season when he asked for a woman’s number while dancing. He largely kept his personal life off social media before Wednesday’s tumultuous launch.
“It just didn’t work out between us, even though god knows we both gave it our all,” he reflected in a 2023 Instagram post announcing his split from Olivia. “We seemed to be constantly pulling each other in opposite directions in life with different goals. I wish Olivia the best in the future. I care for him deeply and always will.”
