Isaac Rochell I am closing the chapter for his career in the NFL.
“After 19 years, it’s time to hang the cracks. Football has formed my life in ways I could never imagine, and I would be permanently owed by the game and NFL, “wrote Rochell, 29, via Instagram Sunday, February 2.” A degree by Notre Dame, eternal friendship, a platform to share my voice, and countless memories – these are just some of the gifts that football has given me. “
Alongside the message, Rochell shared a series of photos from games over the years, including a photo of him and his wife, Allison kuchposing on the field.
“I started playing in the 6th grade, and I still remember crying before every practice – crazy about how things change. My trip ended with moments I will never forget, surrounded by teammates that They became families, ”he wrote. “I’ve been a 7th round choice that opposed the chances, making my way during the 7 seasons in the NFL with nothing other than hard work and perseverance. While I will always love the game, it’s time to get into a new chapter – one where I get everything I learned and apply it to what comes next. “
He finished his title, “I can’t wait to see where this other phase leads. Let’s go to work.”
Rochell was designed by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2017 and since then has played the protective end on the Raiders Indianapolis Colts, Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas. He was released from Raiders in November 2023.
Rochell opened in connection with his decision to retire from sport in the episode of his Podcast Sunday and Kuch “Sunday Sports Club”.
“I became pretty much about thanksgiving. That’s when I was like, ‘Okay, that’s all she wrote. I would still have gone somewhere,” said Rochell, to whom Koch said, “I think you would have had gone somewhere in everyone, like the regular season. I know it’s my last time, so let me go. “”
Rochell, who welcomed the daughter Scottie Bee with Kuch in December 2023, said he is now focusing on “thing else”, noting that he has meetings regarding the broadcast that he hopes “go well”.
“Just just time,” he said. “I am ready to dive deep into the next stage of my life and, like, I don’t know, I don’t want to spend more time.”

While reflecting on his NFL career, Rochell said he felt “super safe” with the way he played.
“I maximized every bit of it. There is no part in my career I look back and I like, ‘Dang I could have done a little more there,’ “he said.” I feel really good about it. I left them all in the field as they say I had a really fun career. “
