Selling the cityS ‘ Jade Chan threatened to sue Netflix while filming the show’s season finale — but is that still the plan?
“No, I’m not taking legal action,” Jade exclusively said Us Weekly ahead Selling the city‘s premiere on Friday, January 3. “I (actually want to) thank the producers for their beautiful way of still telling that story and still showing the spice that was there in that hot moment.”
Jade was grateful that the explosive final moments of season 1 still showed her perspective.
“They were too respectful to know what was right and wrong about (what to include). Because there was so much more to that scene than just the one minute that appears. So I appreciate and respect them for that matter,” she continued. “Where did those comments from me really come from? Because things were said below the belt on both sides – by Abigail (Godfrey) and myself – that I would never want to show to the whole world.”

(Former New York million dollar listingS ‘ Steve Goldwho currently works for The Corcoran Group, also makes appearances throughout the season.)
Jade started the season on good terms with Eleanor – but not Abi. Things between Jade and Eleonora, 37, changed after Jade’s questionable comments were mentioned. While they were able to resolve it by the end of the season, Abi felt that Jade made some remarks about others without being held accountable.
“Jade runs (from a conversation). I want to look him in the eye and know what kind of person he is. You guys are my family and whoever is with our family, you’re going to take the piss. I don’t want to get in the way of a friend of decades, okay?” Abi said during the finale. “This is f-ing manipulation. If she doesn’t admit it, she’ll look like the biggest fool.”
Jade refused to talk to Abi on screen. “I don’t want to do this. Take this away from me,” she told a producer. “You are pathetic. I’m not having a conversation like a 12 year old. You don’t know me. F – this. No.”
As the conversation grew more tense, Jade fired back at Abi, calling her “nasty” off camera.
“I’m not doing this. If any of this f-king airs, I’m going to sue your every ass,” Jade continued. “I’m a grown woman with a real career. This camera better get out of my f-king face. I’m not mic. I’m not mic. F- Netflix.

Jade said us that the moment had been building all season, adding, “I hold everything until it’s time to explode — and that’s exactly what happened. We were obviously filming the finale, so we’re 12 weeks deep into it and there was a lot going on. It was a lot to unpack and I was seeing red.”
The real estate agent was not thrilled that her personal comments were aired.
“They were shouting at me and the things they said to me were things that came from Eleonora. At the end of the day, those things they said were confidential and I felt betrayed, that’s why I came to Eleonora”, explained Jade. “I tried to keep my composure. And she kept coming for me.”

Now, however, Jade isn’t holding a grudge against her co-stars. “(Eleonora) is going through the process of overcoming my truth that was told on the show. I’m fine. There were jabs at me as well, but I truly believe I was being completely authentic to myself,” she said. us. “And we will get through this. I don’t have hard feelings when she reveals things about me and throws me under the bus. It’s all good. I don’t take offense personally because I believe in who I am and my authenticity. We will overcome it.”
Selling the city is streaming on Netflix.
