Donald Trump, 78, was introduced to the invitation from UK Prime Minister Keir StarmerOn behalf of King Charles, 76, during a press conference in the White House on Thursday, February 27.
Starmer, 62, told Trump that the invitation was “unprecedented” and “really special” because “never happened before”, London times reported.
In the letter that Trump showed the cameras, the king suggested that Trump receive an informal visit to the Balmoral Castle or the Dumfries House in Scotland, where they would plan the other official visit of the state, Times reported.
The Delja added that Charles suggested that Trump’s visit could coincide with the president’s journey to his Turnberry golf course west of Scotland.

As you will know, this is unprecedented by an American president,” the king added. “That is why I would consider it useful for us to discuss, together, a range of options.”
The king added that he recalled Trump’s previous visit to the UK “with much love,” the publication wrote.
“Yes,” replied Trump. “We look forward to being there and honoring the king and honoring your country,” he said, adding that the king is “a great gentleman.”
Trump previously spent time with the royal family during a 2019 state visit organized by the deceased Queen Elizabeth II.

“We’ve had a great relationship and I had a great relationship with Charles, and honestly have a very good relationship with many foreign leaders,” Trump added.
