“With an incredible amount of gratitude, I have decided not to return as host of the #LiveFromE red carpet coverage,” Cox, 52, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, January 2. “I’m extremely proud of the work we’ve done. during my three-year tenure. I’d like to express my sincere thanks to everyone at @nbcuniversal, @eentertainment and @denofthievestv for your incredible support.”
In her post, Orange is the new black the actress shared a video montage of clips featuring her one-on-one interviews from the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys and other award shows.
“These moments are a reminder to me what an incredible privilege it has been to talk to some of the world’s greatest artists about their work, navigating the pressures of success, etc,” she said. “I am very excited to continue to grow, evolve and explore great opportunities as an actress, artist, host and speaker. I hope you will all continue to go with me on my evolving journey.”
Cox added that her next role will be in the Amazon Prime comedy series Clean plate premiering on February 6.
In Hollywood, however, the show must go on. Oh! announced that this weekend Live From E!: Golden Globes will be organized by Enter HollywoodS ‘ Hall Zuri and humorist Heather McMahan.
The pair are expected to interview several nominees as they hit the red carpet.

While working E!’s red carpet coverage, Cox famously asked actresses, “What story are you telling with your outfit tonight?”
The actress herself would also turn heads with her stunning – and often vintage – dresses.
When she took over from Juliana Ranciq in 2021, Cox shared how excited she was to have the opportunity to interview the biggest stars in Hollywood.
“For many years I would wake up early on the days of the awards show, get my takeout and watch the E! throughout the day,” she said in a statement at the time. “I dreamed of walking the red carpet. … I can’t wait to get started as I hope to serve up fashion fantasies for the ages, honey.”
The 2025 Golden Globes air live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel on CBS Sunday, January 5 at 8:00 PM ET.
