Meghan Markle does not adhere to the rules of fashion.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, returned to Instagram for the first time in nearly five years on Wednesday, January 2, to share a video of herself running barefoot on a beach.
In the clip filmed by the husband Prince Harry, The former actress hit the beach in a pair of skinny white jeans — which are usually considered “out of style” after Labor Day — rolled up in cuffs and a white T-shirt. She crouched down in the sand and wrote “2025” with her finger before walking away from the camera. Meghan wore her long hair in coils, which she styled in a beach knot.
Meghan’s video marks her first post under the username @meghan, where she connects with fans and shares her projects. Meghan and Harry, 40, previously had a joint Instagram account, @sussexroyal, but have not updated it since March 2020.
Since her first post, Meghan has also shared a clip teasing her upcoming Netflix series. With love, Meghan. In the reels, she cooks in a kitchen, buys flowers and more. Her lifestyle show will premiere on January 15.
When Meghan isn’t enjoying days at the beach – or creating masterpieces in the kitchen – she’s busy showing off her fabulous style at red carpet events.
Last month, she looked elegant in a black Oscar de la Renta gown at the Paley Honors Fall Gala in Beverly Hills. Her dress featured a strapless neckline, a fitted silhouette, a knee-length slit and a sleek train. Meghan elevated her look with strappy black heels, a diamond necklace and ring, and a gold bracelet.
Meghan let her dress speak for itself, applying soft make-up including filled-in brows, mascara and glossy lips. Her brunette locks were parted in the middle and twisted into an updo.
