Paige DeSorbo is putting to rest speculation that Bravo made her wait before confirming her split Craig Conover.
During Monday’s December 30 episode of her and Hannah Berner“The Giggly Squad” podcast, DeSorbo, 32, elaborated on the timing of her and Conover’s decision to split.
“It is a very sad thing. And just to say this—not that I have to say it—but as far as people saying, ‘Oh, Paige was told to wait until Southern charm came out or Summer house came out.’ Nobody can tell me what to do,” DeSorbo noted. “The network has power, but they don’t have that much power.”
DeSorbo denied speculation that Bravo was in any way involved in her announcement, adding, “That’s not a true thing. The rumors that we broke up months ago weren’t a true thing either.”
of Summer house The star recalled the various allegations that had been made over the course of her relationship with Conover, 35, which began in 2021.
“Our first rumors were that we were in a PR relationship. “So we’ve been with these rumors our whole relationship and we haven’t given it a second thought,” DeSorbo admitted. “But I didn’t want (my listeners) to think I was leaving them out or something. Not at all.”

Referring to speculation from earlier this year about her status with Conover, DeSorbo said, “Whenever those rumors were happening, we were still together. When we broke up, of course, I didn’t run to social media and I didn’t run to podcast. We both gave each other some time to deal with it privately with our family and friends.”
After three years of dating, DeSorbo announced Monday that she and Conover “have decided not to be together anymore.”
“I love him, I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends. Nobody did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing,” she explained. “I think we were both really mature and saying what we wanted and didn’t want, and I think it’s incredibly powerful to be able to express how you feel in real time and what you want for your future. “
DeSorbo said she hoped to maintain a friendship with Conover, insisting that “he’s one of the nicest people” she’s ever met.
“I have a lot of love and respect for Craig. … I’m going to remain his biggest fan and I’m going to want the best for him, and he’s really going to get the best, because he’s the best,” she continued. “But with that said, I think it’s the right decision for both of us.”
Bravo fans have been rooting for DeSorbo and Conover since they filmed Season 1 of the show Winter house in 2021. The pair met by chance, which viewers saw in season 6 of Summer housebefore making their relationship official on Instagram later that year.
The pair often defended that they were in no rush for milestones during their unconventional relationship. “We actually love long distance,” she exclusively said Us Weekly in October 2021. “I feel like we’re more present with each other when we’re together.”
Meanwhile, Conover pointed to other Bravo couples as an example of why he doesn’t mind taking things slow.
“Honestly, there are a lot of couples on Bravo and I’m not trying to throw shade. But there are a lot of couples on Bravo that we’re not trying to end up like,” he said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in September 2023. “We want it to work. Like, sustainable growth. Two years is still not long. But we’re in a really good place.”
Conover even shut down speculation that he and DeSorbo had broken up earlier this month, saying AND! tidings“I don’t know where this came from, because we are together, like every week. So, no, Paige and I haven’t broken up. We are still together. I would have given you a reason to start that rumor, then I guess I would have to defend it. But I don’t think Paige and I did anything.”
The reality star also denied using the rumors as a ploy to boost ratings on their respective shows.
“Why would we do this?!” he added. “Remember in high school when people gossiped? Like, I became more dramatic in high school. I’m a big gossip, but just don’t take everything so seriously.”
