Princess Royal, 74, spent five nights at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, England, after suffering “minor injuries and shock after an incident” on her property in Gatcombe Park, Buckingham Palace said in a statement on June 24, 2024.
At that time, Anne’s medical team said her injuries could have been caused by shocks or a horse’s head. But according to the royal family, she cannot remember being with her horses before hospitalization.
“It’s been) my regular visit,” she continued. “I have no idea what I was doing on the field because I normally never went that way.”
“Just remember, tell you – never know, something (happens) and you may not recover,” she added.
Anne said the accident and subsequent hospitalization reminded her to “get it every day as it comes”.
At the time, the palace said Anne’s hospitalization was a “preliminary measure for observation” and added that it “is expected to make a full and quick recovery”.
The accident happened during a difficult year for the royal family after Anna’s brother, King Charles IIIAND Princess Kate Middleton were related to the relevant diagnoses of cancer.
Middleton announced in January that she is in pardon, while Charles is expected to resume full schedule this year.
Anne has been repeatedly called the “most working roy” from the British press for several years. In 2024, it completed 217 commitments – mostly from any royal – Daily Mail reported. Charles came out in second place with 186 engagements, according to the exit.
