Scott AND Lori Thompson hit a sudden delay in The amazing race After a bird crashed into their taxi.
“We hit (a) bird and withdrew for six minutes, so we talked to production after. We’re like,” What time was that departure from us withdrew because of the bird? “She hit the side mirror,” said Lori, 49, said exclusively The weekly On Thursday, April 3, after their elimination. “So the taxi driver had to go out and take it.”
The incident, which was not shown in the episode, occurred after the couple left the double direct vote on Sankey Forest in Bali. While a six -minute delay does not look much, it had a significant impact on the Scott, 47 and Lori race. The parents of eight boys turned alongside Jonathan AND Ana cities. Both sides were tasked with completing both coconut or coral departures. Both teams were at the bottom of the package and competed directly against each other to stay in the race.
Lori added that the small part of the time in such a narrow race “hurt a little more”, but she knew the situation was out of her hands.
“I can be crazy and blame that taxi driver who (lost) the race,” she reflected. “We have to take responsibility that like everyone everyone has the opportunity to get a wrong turn or wrong taxi or whatever. That’s just a part of the race and we just have to take it in step.”
Lori also explained that she and Scott almost received the first cabin from the sanctuary but arrived at the same time with it AND Holden Ngyen. Lori explained after being voted by the sisters and three other teams that they did not want to promote any more likely conflict.
“We’ve got there at the same time and because of the drama that just happened, I don’t like it. And so I’m just, I just have it. Like I didn’t even want to make a confrontation,” she said. “So we got into the second taxi. Well the first taxi did it there first and our second taxi made it last.”
Despite being in second place, the six minutes ended by placing them in the last place until they reached the next location.
“By the time we go to the avoidance we are in the last place,” Scott said we. “And that’s the reason we were sidelined.”
While Scott and Lori faced their right part of the challenges on foot, they were time and ended up with Ana and Jonathan. However, Scott and Lori fought in the Coral challenge after completing the strong task of the coconut nut. While some viewers theorized Scott and Lori burned down by attracting Kokos, Lori explained that their issue was strictly with the coral itself.
“People are saying,” Well, maybe you’ve done it wrong and, like, you can’t focus on coral. “The problem with coral is when the coral dries, it changes color.” So we just kept getting a lost control just because of that piece. Finally I’m like, maybe it has to get wet this. “
After the coral wetting, the real color returned and Scott and Lori were able to capture Ana and Jonathan on the surfing -themed road block. While Jonathan worked to fulfill his task, he was seemingly exhausted while taking numerous vacations while in the ocean, which gave Scott some hope.
“I went out there, about two -thirds of the way to go out, and I can still see him there fighting. And I was like,” We’re still in the mix here. Like, I can’t count on myself yet. Lori relying on me. I have to make the best attempt I can, ā€¯Scott recalled. “There were (were) so many surfboard there to compare against. It was like a needle in the strip saws with the ocean moving everyone around at the same time. It was grueling. We had already made a lot of effort on the day already. He was getting a fee for both Jonathan and me. You can see it.”
Jonathan and Anna ended up ending the moments of the challenge before Scott and Lori, and she went down to a foottrace. Jonathan and Anna arrived at Mat minutes in front of which they finally sent Scott and Lori home.
“I feel like we developed the race we wanted to run. We know what the strengths were, knowing where our weaknesses were,” Scott reflected. “Being able to be crucial in the moments when we knew we could get a foot up and maybe get a buffer where we knew we would lose a standing race against other people for the current physicality of things.”
The amazing race It broadcasts on CBS on Wednesday at 9:30 in the afternoon and is available to broadcast on Paramount+ the next day.
