Awards season always starts with the Golden Globes — and 2025 is no exception.
While the awards show is still considered “Hollywood’s Party of the Year,” things have changed a bit over the past 25 years. The 2000s Golden Globes featured couples who have since broken up and dresses that are considered vintage.
As the Hollywood Foreign Press Association handed out trophies at the 57th Golden Globes on January 23, 2000, HBO celebrated the success of Sex and the City AND The sopranos, Denzel Washington AND Hilary Swank won major accolades and a still-young Pixar proved its mettle.
