During the appearance in Drew Barrymore Show Friday, January 31, Barrymore, 49, Bertinelli, 64, and Ross Mathews45, spoke about at Actress trademark reception technique.
Barrymore referred to a 2017 Wire The article on studies that claimed human touch has a number of benefits, including happiness and growing success, as well as minimizing stress.
“I may or may not have brought this story to the news table because I am known to GLOM to other people,” Barrymore said. “I also may simply not be your cup of tea and you may not want to be touched. And I’m very sorry for that.”
However, Bertinelli opposed her forgiveness, assuring Barrymore that it was unnecessary.
“Don’t apologize for being so authentic,” Bertinelli Barrymore told. “I mean, touch is what keeps us connected. Communication is what keeps us inside. You are communicating and touching. You are doing your job. This is what you are here on this earth to do.”
Echoing the feeling, Matthews agreed that there was no need for Barrymore to apologize that was too touching.
“So authentic,” Matthews told. “That’s how you are. You can’t change you if you were going to try. ”
Acknowledging that not every guest is so comfortable with the touch, Barrymore explained that she is just a touch person.
“But I also know it’s not everyone’s tea,” the actress added. “I was just happy when I discovered that there are scientific, neurological benefits.”

During Stewart’s appearance on the show, Barrymore seemed to get a little touch when discussing what made the cook “soft and gooey” from the inside.
“Soft and gentle treatment?” Stewart, 83, responded before Barrymore clarifies, “when you are treated as a lady.”
While Barrymore touched Stewart’s shoulder, the lifestyle guru pushed him with games as he said, “You are the wrong gender.”
In response, Barrymore joked, “I know! Although, the way you are going with men, Martha, I’m not so sure anymore.”
Barrymore also referred to her tendency to touch people during an episode of her show in December 2024.
“I’m so touching,” the host admitted. “People have to warn me, they’re like,” get back a little. “And I’m like, ‘Why?’ “
Barrymore continued to explain that perhaps her current status of the relationship was behind the desire for human touch.
“Because physical connection – you know, I’m single, I’m not meeting anyone,” Barrymore added. “I don’t have it in my life, but I don’t know how I would ever stand out of hand holding, hug, snuggling.”
