Washington, DC – First Lady Melania Trump received a special ceremony this week announcing the latest memorial stamp honoring the heritage of former First Lady Barbara Bush. Fox News Digital was on alert for the event.
Ms. Trump joined the stage in the Eastern House of the White House on Thursday by Doro Bush Koch, the daughter of Barbara Bush; Alice Yates, CEO of George & Barbara Bush Foundation; and Judy de Torok, Vice President of Corporate Affairs in the US Postal Service.
“Barbara’s deep obedience, dignity and loyalty to her loved ones have left an indelible mark on our hearts and history,” Ms. Trump said. (See the video on top of this article.)

Barbara Bush, the wife of the 41st president George HW Bush, served as the first lady of the United States from 1989 to 1993 and the second lady from 1981 to 1989.

The stamp contains a portrait of Mrs. Bush by American artist Charles Fagan, who was also present.
“The discovery of this memorial stamp honors the contributions of Barbara Bush as the first lady and her sustainable impact on our nation,” Melane Trump also noted.

Barbara’s youngest daughter and George made a special tribute to her mother, touching her personal life, parents, the cause of writing and dedication to the nation.

“Barbara Bush, known for many like Mom, Ganny, Fox Silver, or the most famous in our family, the implementer, will be remembered forever for her strength, falling in love with the family, fast ingenuity and deep commitment to writing,” Bush Koch said.
“(My father was the only man) that she would ever kiss in a school dance,” their daughter added.
“Two years later, she was engaged to George Hw Bush, starting a partnership that will last decades and help shaping history. Little she knew the adventures ahead.”

“Mom told her staff that she wanted to do something every day to help others, so this is what she did. She appointed many events and visits that highlighted a need helped to encourage volunteering or focus on writing,” Bush Koch shared.
Melania Trump and Bush Koch both highlighted Barbara Bush’s starting speech at Wellesley College, in which she encouraged graduates to believe in something bigger than them, to get involved in some of the great ideas of the day.

“Barbara Bush’s iconic starting address in Welllesley College in 1990 remains an important moment in conversation about women’s roles in society. Her message, who emphasized the importance of family and personal integrity, encouraged women to engrave their paths in life,” Trump said.
Bush Koch noted a “determining moment” when her mother cradle a baby with HIV at a time when there was a stigma surrounding the disease.

“That simple, compassionate act, caught in a photo that made national titles, spoke more than the words ever.
Ms. Trump said that the distinctive sign of Bush’s heritage is not only her respect for the tradition, but also the ways in which she broke the congress.
