Kiss me, I’m Irish! – But you better behave.
Boston officials are hoping for an early starting time for this year’s iconic parade in Boston St. Patrick, will be reduced to “tomfoully”.
Two-for-one-one-day celebration of St. Patrick’s Day and Evacuation Day-is expected to begin at 11:30 am on local time on Sunday, March 16. This is an hour and a half earlier than previous years as politicians and parade organizers try to prevent misconduct from detectors.
“The parade will start earlier this year in an attempt to get better treatment in tomfolery,” state senator Nick Collins said in a statement about local exit, Dorchester reporter. “Last year, there were moments of unfortunate parade that we don’t want to see them repeated this time.”

Fox News Digital arrived at Collins, as well as city councilor Ed Flynn, both demanded reforms in the parade after chaos followed last year.
“Operate under the golden regulation, and if you didn’t do it again at home – don’t do it here,” Flynn told a retired US Navy veteran who served during the operation stable freedom, Fox News Digital told.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox shared a similar message.

“We ask anyone to come to treat this event and the neighborhood, as if it were your home,” Cox said. “Boston is a welcoming city, but the fact is, we do not welcome unjust and illegal behavior.”

“This is a family friendly event. This is not a drink of drinking,” Cox continued.
Cox said all the drink stores in South Boston will be closed at 4pm, taverns and restaurants will stop accepting people at 6 pm and they will stop serving alcohol at 7am

Cox warned parents that children and adolescents should be accompanied, or not participate at all.
“It’s not Mardi Gras and it’s not supposed to be the case,” Boston Chief Ems Holey said at the press conference.

Saint Patrick’s South Boston Patriarch Parade is one of the largest in the United States. Last year’s parade attracted about a million people.
Holey said the parade was “not so well of behavior last year” and it was especially led by “new people, drunk in general and the fighting related to it”.

Many people were arrested in last year’s parade, according to the local Boston 25 News exit. The issues included disturbing incidents of violence, attacks that went viral, people on the roofs without a roof deck and beer cans were thrown into the parade marchers, Dalja reported.

“If you are a guest, or in South Boston for the Evacuation Day Parade – show some common courtesy and respect for residents, our veterans and military families, our first devoted responses and our history,” Flynn said.
The parade is also a celebration of evacuation day – the evacuation of British troops from Boston on March 17, 1776.
