An event of the romantic book that presented the best-selling author Abby Jiemenez took a sudden turn-and in the brand when a fire alarm left, promoting the real life of firefighters who had the crowd of 400 mostly female in Canada absolutely noisy.

Jiemenez was appearing along with the author of Romance friend Hannah Bonam-Young to promote her newest novel, “Only for Summer” when the alarm interrupted the evening.
As the emergency crews responded, the firefighters entered the scene and the room exploded in cheers.

“Did a fire alarm leave in the middle of my event in Toronto with @authorhannahby?” Jiemenez posted on Instagram. “Yes. Did a hot firefighter crew appeared? Also yes.”

Bonam-Young fully used the moment, joking by asking firefighters, “Are there any of you single?” She later shared footage into tiktok, which quickly went viral.
“They were not actors actually paid,” Jiemenez explained in the same post on Instagram. “But we would have paid them because it was beyond stunning.”

According to reports, the fire was a false alarm and no real emergency, just a perfect plot turn. But that did not stop fans from drawing visible parallels in the tropics of romantic comedy they came to celebrate.
The moment was lit on social media with the attendees posting clips of the crowd cheering, laughing. Some even joked, felt like a scene immediately raised by one of Jiemene’s novels.

“I can’t believe that this happened at an Abby Jiemenez event,” wrote one participant in Tiktok. “You can’t write it better.”
No injury was reported, and after it was given all clear, the event continued a little more interesting, and much more memorable than expected.
Toronto fire services did not respond immediately to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
