The Apple shareholders rejected an attempt on Tuesday to put the technology trendsetter under pressure in order to connect us to the urge of corporate programs by US President Donald Trump in order to diversify the workforce.
The conservative think tank-created proposal, described by the National Center for Public Policy Research-Einser, asked Apple to follow a litany of top-class companies that have withdrawn from diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives in the cross-country cross of the US President Donald.
After a brief presentation about the anti-Dei proposal, Apple announced that the shareholders had rejected him without revealing the vote. The preliminary results will be outlined later on Tuesday in a regulatory.
The vote of the shareholders came a month after the same group had submitted a similar proposal during the annual conference of Costco to predominantly reject them. A similar result is expected during Apple’s annual meeting despite the loud objections of critics.
Just as Costco does, Apple steadfastly stood behind diversity and inclusion efforts, which claims his management to be a good business sense.
The proposal of the National Center for Public Policy Research has attacked Apple’s obligations, the recent court hearings, and said that the programs expose the company Cupertino, California, a company with a rush of potential complaints due to alleged discrimination. The group estimated that around 50,000 Apple employees were able to submit cases against Apple without too detailed how it arrived in this number.
“It is clear that the legal disputes, reputation and financial risks for companies and thus financial risks for their shareholders are further at risk for companies because they do not comply with their trust obligations,” says his proposal.

Apple came out against the proposal
The ghost of potential legal difficulties was enlarged last week when the Attorney General of Florida James Uthmeier submitted a federal action against Target, in which the recently delayed DEI program of the retailer claimed to alienate many consumers and to underbid sales to the disadvantage of the shareholders.
Apple said in his refutation against the anti-dei proposal that his program was an essential part of a culture that the company has contributed to increasing the current market value of 3.7 trillion US dollars-larger than any other company in the world .
On Monday, Apple announced that they will invest more than 500 billion US dollars in the USA over the next four years, including plans, 20,000 people and to create a new server factory in Texas.
“We believe that the way we behave ourselves is just as critical for Apple’s success as the best products in the world,” said the company in its explanation against the proposal. “We strive to keep business ethically, honestly and correspond to the applicable laws and regulations.”
In his last report on diversity and inclusion published in 2022, Apple announced that almost three quarters of his global workforce consisted of white and Asian employees. Almost two thirds of his employees were men.
Other large technology companies have reported for years that they mainly employ white and Asian men, especially with highly paid engineering jobs, which caused the industry to pursue the largely unsuccessful efforts to diversify.
