Since the office of US President Donald Trump, several top-class incidents from tourists and visa owners have been stopped at US border crossings or weeks in American immigration authorities.

In the past few weeks, Great Britain has revised its advice for citizens who travel to the United States, a warning that anyone who violates, arrested, arrested their entry rules.

Germany has updated its travel advice for the United States this week to emphasize that a visa or an entry replacement does not guarantee that it has recently been arrested after several Germans have recently been arrested at the border.

An American woman and her German fiancé spoke with the Associated Press about her journey -after she had moved back from Mexico in February.

American border brokers captured Lennon Tyler, a US citizen, with handcuffs and chains them to a bank, while their fiance Lucas Sielaff was accused of violating the rules of his 90-day US tourist license, said the couple.

They had returned on February 18, only 22 days in Sielaff’s 90-day tourist permit, and Tyler said her partner was asked aggressively and fought in his second language. The authorities later captivated with handcuffs and sent him to a crowded US immigration finding center.

Sielaff said that he had made a full body search and ordered his cell phone and belongings to be handed over. He was put in a holding cell where he slept on a bench for two days before he was brought to the Otay Mesa Hachtzentrum in San Diego.

Two weeks later, he was told that he should reach a direct flight to Germany and submit a confirmation number. After a hectic call from Sielaff, Tyler bought a ticket for $ 2,744. Her fiance flew back on March 5.

“What happened at the border was only an open abuse of the power of the border patrols,” said Tyler, who is planning to sue the US government.

Non -profit officer surprised by prisoners

In an e -mail to the AP, the US immigration and customs authority (ICE) said that Sielaff and Jessica Brösche – another German who was held for 45 days in a separate incident – were considered inadmissible by customs and border protection.

This agency said that it cannot discuss details, but “if laws or visa injuries are violated, travelers can be subject to custody and distance”. The agencies have not commented on other cases.

Both German tourists were able to offer a selected group of countries, mainly in Europe and Asia, whose citizens can travel to the USA for up to 90 days without receiving a visa in advance.

Even if they are authorized to travel under this system, they can still be excluded from entry into the country.

Observe how the Trump administration refers to the law of the 18th century to deport the Venezuelans:

How can Trump use a war law to deport people if there is no war? | About it

The Trump administration deported more than 200 immigrants by lying a measure of war measures on the law on the Alien enemies – they claimed that they were members of Tren de Aragua, a Venezolan gang. Andrew Chang explains how Trump interprets the language of the Law of 1798 to avoid the standard immigration court system, and why experts say it is a slippery slope.

Pedro Rios, director of the American Friends Service Committee, a non -profit organization that worked at the border with migrants AIDS in the 22 years.

“The only reason I see is that there is a much more fervent anti-immigrant atmosphere,” said Rios.

French scientists rejection controversial

A French scientist was recently refused to enter the USA for a conference under controversial circumstances.

“I have learned that a French researcher was denied the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), which traveled to a conference near Houston,” said the Minister of Higher Education and Research Philippe Baptiste in a statement on Agence France press.

The measure was apparently taken because the scientist had expressed a personal opinion on the research policy of the Trump government, he added, but not closer.

A spokesman for US customs and border protection said that the restrictions on data protection regulations have banned the agency from the discussion of specific cases, but a spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security vehemently denied the claim.

Spokesman Tricia McLaughlin said on social media: “The French researcher in question had confidential information about his electronic device from the National Laboratory Los Alamos under violation of a non-open-lying otwas, which he admitted and tried to hide.”

The French government still has to react to McLaughlin’s explanation.

Aggressive tactics, legal challenges

So far, Trump monitors an even more aggressive approach to immigration questions than in his first presidency in his second term. So far, there have been controversial incidents that affected the detention of a College Campus demonstrator and the rejection of the entry to a Lebanese doctor who has studied and worked in the USA for several years.

In another case, a former student of Columbia University in New York, Ranjani Srinivasan, is temporarily in Canada after her visa was revoked and she was sought by US immigration and customs authorities.

See how L Ranjani Srinivasan CBC News tells her story:

The doctoral student of Columbia University, Ranjani Srinivasan, calls allegations that she is a “terrorist sympathizer” and CBCS David Common tells that she feared for her safety after civil servants of the US immigration and customs authority have appeared at her door.

Days after Trump’s inauguration of 2017, some American airports saw scenes in chaos when travelers from several countries from the Muslim majority after moving were extensive that even some government agencies and top-class civil servants received no warning.

The travel ban was originally not the legal examination of the courts and was later changed by his administration.

Trump also moved in his first term to bring the protection of young immigrants to the United States as a dreamer, and acted against states and cities that protect illegal immigrants.

At the beginning of this term, he moved citizenship, which was immediately questioned in the courts.

While Trump emphasized the containment of the illegal immigration and was often used humiliating and dehumanism, the recording of his first administration was shaped by a decline in legal immigration even before the Pandemy of Covid-19 was explained in March 2020.

Companies in a variety of industries, from Silicon Valley Tech to agriculture and production, determined a decline in the working visa issued.
