Israel announced a major expansion of military operations in Gaza on Wednesday. He said large areas of the enclave were confiscated and added to its security zones, accompanied by a large -scale evacuation of the population.
In a statement, Defense Minister Israel Katz said that evacuations would take place from areas in which it was fighting, and the Gazans asked to eliminate Hamas and return Israeli hostages to end the war.
He said the operation would clear militants and infrastructure, “and to confiscate large areas that are added to the security zones of the state of Israel”.
Basem Naim, a high -ranking official from Hamas, told Reuters that Israeli hostages were only released by negotiations, not through military pressure.
The Israeli military had already issued evacuation warnings to the Gazaner living in the southern city of Rafah and in the direction of Khan Younis and asked them to move to the Al-Mawasi area on the bank, which had previously shown a humanitarian zone.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, 53 people were killed in Israeli strikes on Wednesday, with 19 people, including children, were killed in a strike in a UN clinic to accommodate displaced persons.
Israel’s military said that a building that was previously used as a clinic, from which it served as a Hamas command and control center, served to plan attacks and that the military had used surveillance to alleviate the risk of civilians. Hamas denied the use of the building and described the Israeli charges as “obvious production”.
Women, 3 months old killed under the latest killed strikes
The Reuters video of the consequences of the strike showed blood on a floor when rescue workers removed the bodies on stock exchanges.
At the point of a strike in Khan Younis, Rida al-Jabbour held up a tiny shoe and pointed to a bloody wall when she told how a neighbor was killed with her three-month-old baby.
“From the moment the strike appeared, we couldn’t sit or sleep or something,” she said, describing how rescue workers could not separate the remains of the remains killed.
Katz ‘statement did not make it clear how much country Israel intended or whether the move was a permanent annexation of the territory, which would exert a further pressure on a population that already lives in one of the most overcrowded areas in the world.
According to the Israeli legal group Gisha, Israel has already taken control of 62 square kilometers or about 17 percent of the total area of the Gaza Strip as part of a buffer zone around the edges of the enclave.
Israeli plans to facilitate voluntary departure
At the same time, the Israeli guides have explained that they plan to make the voluntary departure of the Palestinians easier from the enclave after US President Donald Trump has been permanently evacuated and to develop as a coastal resort under US control.
Katz ‘comments came after the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu repeated that Hamas had been disarmed, and said that the use of military pressure was the best way to get the remaining 59 hostages.
“It seems that Netanyahu is only stopping his war against Gaza when we are driven out. Despite the extermination with ourselves and the extreme fear-I was expelled eight times-with God’s will we will remain steadfast,” said Amer al-Farra, a Palestine in Gaza.
Israeli air strikes in the Gaza damaged the Nasser Hospital and killed at least 65 people in 24-hour period, said the Palestinian health authorities. The continued attacks have caused some aid organizations to reduce their footprint in the region.
Israeli guides were encouraged by signs of a protest in Gaza against Hamas, the militant group that has been controlling the enclave since 2007, and the extended operation seemed at least partially aimed at increasing civil pressure on its leaders.
“I ask the residents of Gaza to act now to eliminate Hamas and return all kidnappings,” said Katz in his explanation. “This is the only way to end the war.”
War expanded
Israel took air strikes on Gaza last month and after two months of relative calm after the end of a ceasefire supported by the USA after two months to enable the Hamas hostages’ exchange for Palestinian prisons in Israeli prisons.
Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed since the strikes were resumed, and Israel also cut the enclave help and said a lot of it was taken by Hamas.
The efforts of Qatar and Egyptian mediators to have conversations that aim to end the war on the right path have so far made no progress, and the military’s return to Gaza has heated up protests in Israel through families and supporters.
When the operation in Gaza escalated, Israel also hit the goals in the south of Lebanon and Syria, with a strike against a HISBOLLAH commander in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Tuesday, in which further tense Affay -Waffehinilungs agreements were largely stopped in January.
After the devastating attack on Southern Israel, Israel penetrated through thousands of Hamas-led men who killed 1,200 people according to Israeli two-credit.
According to the Palestinian health officers, the Israeli campaign killed more than 50,000 Palestinians and devastated the Gaza Strip, which forced almost the entire population of 2.3 million from their houses.
