King Charles smiled and waved to the public on Friday when he left the side effects of his cancer treatment in London the day after a short hospital stay.
The king’s appointments for this day were canceled after his “short observation in the hospital” on Thursday, said Buckingham Palace.
The king’s health has been closely observed since the beginning of last year when he announced that an unknown form of cancer had been diagnosed.
Charles was seen on Friday when he left Clarence House in the back of a black Audi.
The tourist Julian Mati said that he was relieved to see what the king looked good.
“We were horrified when we heard the news yesterday,” said Mati. “We came to the palace today to take photos, but we never imagined that we would see the king. It is such a relief to smile and wave him.”
The 76 -year -old Charles resigned from public obligations for about three months, but fulfilled the state obligations, such as the review of the government newspapers and the meeting with the prime minister.
Charles’ cancer diagnosis has the pressure on the British monarchy, which is still evolving after the 70th anniversary of the deceased Queen Elizabeth II.
When he followed his mother in September 2022, Charles’ task was to demonstrate that the 1,000-year institution remains relevant in a modern country whose citizens come from all corners of the world. But this task takes a lot of time and energy.
