The body of Pope Francis, who was created in an open coffin, was carried on Wednesday in a solemn procession from his residence in the walls of the Vatican city to the St. Peter basilica.
Rotal cardinals, priests, candle tube and helmet shooters slowly went into the huge, sun -related Esplanade when a male choir sang psalms and prayers in Latin, while the large bells of the basilica were chargeable.
The body of the 88-year-old Pope, who died two days ago in his rooms in Santa Marta Guest House after a stroke, was held in the air with 14 white, black, black, black, black.
“Dear brothers and sisters, with deep grief we are now accompanying the remains of our Pope Francis to the Vatican Basilica,” said Irish-American Cardinal Kevin Farrell at the beginning of the ceremony.
When the coffin crossed St. Peter’s Square, a lot of several thousand applause broke in, a traditional Italian sign of respect at such events.
Catholics and global dignitaries have started to respect Pope Francis in the Vatican city on Saturday before his funeral. Now his progressive heir can influence the choice of his successor, which will begin in the coming weeks.
Pilgrims arrive from all over the world
Pope Francis, who was spent in the hospital for five weeks at the beginning of this year, was last appeared in public on Sunday when he surprised pilgrims by driving in his white, open popemobile for the packaged place.
His body will be in the state in the St. Peter Basilica by Friday evening and enables believers to show their respect.

“He is like a family member. Someone who comes very close to our hearts, someone who made the church very accessible to everyone and including everyone,” said Rachel McKay, a pilgrim from Great Britain who was on the pitch.
Dozens of cardinals were together in the basilica when the wooden coffin was placed on a podium in front of the altar that was built on the site where the first Pope, the first Pope, was buried after dying as a martyr during the reign of Emperor Nero (54-68 AD).
Francis’ body wore red robes, his hands reduced a rosary and a white vibrator on his head.

Francis avoided a large part of the large pomp and the ceremony, which traditionally were associated with the role of 1.4 billion catholics of the global 1.4 billion Roman Catholics. Francis is the first Pope since Leo XIII. In 1903 buried outside of the Vatican, with its final retirement is the basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, one of the four large basilicas of Christians in Rome.
His funeral is set for Saturday and will attract heads of state and government from all over the world, including leaders from Italy, France, Germany, Great Britain, the United States and Francis’ Heimat nation of Argentina. Canada has not yet announced his delegation.
At least 200,000 people are expected to take part in the Outdoor Service, said the head of Italy Civil Protection Agency, Fabio Ciciliano, the Corriere Della Sera newspaper.
It is not expected that a conclave is to begin to choose the new Pope before May 6th, whereby cardinals are now only flocking to Rome, since it only decides the date on which the often extended discussions takes place.
Around 135 cardinals are entitled to take part in the secret conclave that can take for days before the white smoke from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel in the world says that a new pope has been selected.
