The Russian drones met in the second largest city, Kharkiv, a military hospital, a shopping center and an apartment in Ukraine, which were killed two people and wounded dozens, while US President Donald Trump annoyed Russian President Vladimir Putin for comments about the leader of Ukraine.
The general staff of the Ukrainian general substances of the armed forces condemned the “deliberate, targeted shelling” of the military hospital late Saturday. Service members who dealt with themselves were among the victims. Regional governor Oleh Syniehubov said these killed were a 67-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman.
According to the Ukrainian government and military analysts, the Russian armed forces are preparing to start a new military offensive in the coming weeks to maximize the pressure on Kyiv and to strengthen the negotiation position of the Kremlin in ceasefire talks.
The Ukraine Air Force reported that Russia had fired 111 exploding drones and deck birds in the last wave of attacks overnight to Sunday. It was said that 65 of them had intercepted and another 35 were lost because they were probably electronically uptight.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Sunday that “most of the regions of Ukraine” came into the Russian attack last week. In a social media post, he said that “1,310 Russian air bombs, over 1,000 attack drones – mainly” Shaheeds “and nine rockets of different types, including ballistic, had started against Ukraine.
Zelenskyy also repeated his assertion that “Russia was pulling out the war” and repeated the comments he made in Paris on Thursday that Russia extended the ceasefire talks, “only to buy time and then try to grab more land”.
The Ministry of Defense, meanwhile, said that its air defense systems have shot down six Ukrainian drones. On Sunday it also claimed that his troops had taken control of a village in the partially occupied Donetsk region of Ukraine. The Russian assertion could not be verified independently, and Ukraine did not comment.
Trump threatens Russia with sanctions
In a telephone interview on the early Sunday morning with NBC News, Trump referred to comments that Putin made on Friday about the temporary change of Ukraine under external governance. Trump said he was “angry, acidic” when Putin “got into Zelenskyy’s credibility”.
Putin repeated his claim that Zelenskyy, whose term of office has expired last year, lacks legitimacy to sign a peace agreement. According to the constitution of Ukraine, it is illegal for the country to hold national elections while it is under war law.
“If a deal is not completed and I think it was Russia’s fault, I will put Russia secondary sanctions,” Trump said to Kristen Welker and added that there would be “a 25 to 50 point tariff for everything oil”.
“Anyone who buys oil from Russia can sell their product, no product, not just oil, to the USA,” he said.
Nevertheless, Trump confirmed that he and Putin have a “very good relationship”.
