South Korean investigators on Thursday sought to execute a warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol over his failed attempt to declare martial law that led to his impeachment. Officers from the Corruption Investigation Office (CIO) and police were seen entering Yoon’s residence, where the suspended leader is holed up, vowing to “fight” the arrest warrant which his legal team has called “the illegal and void”.
