US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Wednesday that they had a constructive call to move on a partial ceasefire between Kyiv and Moscow, whereby the White House suggested that the United States could take control of Ukrainian nuclear works to ensure its safety.

Trump said Zelenskyy that the United States could “be very helpful to do these plants with its knowledge of electricity and care,” said US State Minister Marco Rubio and the national security consultant Mike Waltz, who described the call as “fantastic”.

Trump added that “American ownership of these plants could be the best protection for this infrastructure”. The idea was also completed as a Trump administration to conclude an agreement in order to receive access to the critical minerals of Ukraine as a partial repayment for US support for Ukraine during the war.

Weeks after a catastrophic Oval Office meeting between the two guides, who led Trump temporarily the exchanging of the secret service and military help for Ukraine in Ukraine, Trump and Zelenskyy had “a very good conversation”, in which they joked, after a high -ranking Ukrainian official who was not authorized because he was not authorized because he was not authorized to comment.

During the call, the focus was on the fact that an armistice process would have to be monitored and discussed how the negotiation teams would have to continue to solve technical problems, said the official.

O’clock | Stop attacks on the energy infrastructure:

Putin, Trump agrees with the ceasefire of 30-day energy infrastructures with Ukraine

US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin say that after a long call, they had agreed to an immediate 30-day ceasefire for energy and infrastructure in Russia against Ukraine.

During the call, Zelenskyy demanded additional Patriot Defense Missile Systems. Rubio and Waltz said Trump “agreed to work with him to find out what was available, especially in Europe.”

The call came a day after Trump had had similar conversations with the Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, who agreed to not destroy the Ukraine energy infrastructure, but refused to support a full 30-day ceasefire that Trump had proposed. According to the White House, Zelenskyy concluded the boundary contract for the limited armistice in order to hire strikes for the Russian energy infrastructure.

This almost defined break appeared on Wednesday in case of doubt. Moscow, however, said Ukraine met an oil depot in southern Russia, while Kyiv said that Russia had beaten hospitals and houses and came across some railways.

Camped exchange carried out

Nevertheless, the Ukraine and Russia announced that they had carried out a prisoner exchange and each released 175 troops in a deal that is facilitated by the United Arab Emirates. Moscow said that another 22 wounded Ukrainians were freed as goodwill gesture.

Zelenskyy, who described his conversation with Trump as “positive, very in terms of content and Frank”, said that he had confirmed Kyiv’s willingness to strike about the Russian infrastructure and his commitment to an unconditional ceasefire Front line As the USA suggested.

“One of the first steps to complete the war could be to end strikes for energy and other civilian infrastructure. I supported this step, and Ukraine confirmed that we are ready to implement it,” he said on social media.

Previously, Zelenskyy said that the Russian strikes, which he had been performing with Putin since I was called, showed that Moscow did not match his actions and that Russia was not ready for peace. He said the United States should be responsible for monitoring any ceasefire plant.

The Kremlin said he derived planned attacks on the Ukraine energy infrastructure, including the rotation of seven Russia drones towards Ukraine. Kyiv accused his own attacks in an attempt to sabotage the agreement.

“Putin plays a game”

Trump has long promised to end the fatal conflict in Europe since the Second World War, which inflamed himself when Russia launched a complete invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

But his public relations work in Putin has unsettled the European allies who fear that after 80 years they will announced a fundamental change in which the defense of Europe against Russian expansionism was the nuclear mission of US foreign policy.

Some European heads of state and government said that Putin’s rejection of Trump’s proposed fully armed arrest was proof that Moscow was not looking for peace. The Ukrainian energy facilities counted the offer to temporarily no longer attack “nothing”, and Trump would have to gain major concessions, said the German Minister of Defense.

“Putin plays a game here and I am sure that the American president can no longer sit and watch much longer,” Boris Pistorius told the German broadcaster ZDF.

The EU’s head of foreign policy, Kaja Kallas, said that she would present a proposal for the European leader in Brussels on Thursday to supply the Ukraine 2 million rounds of large-scale artillery ammunition, according to a letter observed by Reuters.

Infrastructure A goal on both sides of the border

In the past three years, Russia has tirelessly attacked Ukraine’s power network in the past three years and argues that civil infrastructure is a legitimate goal because Kyiv’s combat skills make it easier.

The Ukrainians say that such attacks have decreased in the past few months and backup stream generators who once became less prominent since the end of 2024.

Kyiv has steadily developed the ability to assemble long-term attacks to Russia and often uses drones to target remote oil and gas locations.

In the attacks overnight, the Ukrainian regional authorities said that Russian drones damaged two hospitals in the northeastern Sumy region and caused no injuries, but forced the evacuation of patients and employees.

A 60-year-old man was injured near Kyiv and air raids met houses and companies in the Bucha district north of the capital. According to the railway, attacks in Dnipropetrovsk in the south in the south had damaged the railways in Dnipropetrovsk.

The authorities in the southern Russian region of Krasnodar said that a Ukrainian drone attack caused a fire in an oil depot near the village of Kavkazkaya. Nobody was injured.
