Aston Villa came from behind to defeat Chelsea 2-1 at home thanks to a second half by Marco Asensio, with Marcus Rashford providing both assists.
Chelsea received an early lead when an unnoticed Enzo Fernandez (9) fired the cross of the Pedro Net house – but the game would change when Rashford opened his leg in the field.
Manchester United’s loan replaced Jacob Ramsey at half the time and will not last long before his lying foot split the ball to the newly -made Asensio friend to open his result in Claret and Blue (57).
The moment was with the local team after the draw and it was the same duet that was tied to the winner in the 89th minute, as Asensio’s attempt squeezed Filip Jorgensen’s body after another passage from Rashford.
The duo were both brought to the club in temporary agreement in the January transfer window, but now look to find their feet in the Unai Emery squad after their Catapult Villa attempts to a chelsea point in sixth place who lost the opportunity to enter the first four.
Asensio appreciates Rashford’s impact

“We know the quality of Marcus. He helps us a lot. We are very happy. Thanks also Marcus for the two assists!
“I am very happy. The atmosphere here is extraordinary. I want to thank all fans for the effort, we do it together. We must go on. I am very happy for the purpose and victory. We know it was Today an important day.
“Unai trusts me and that’s so important to a player ahead.”
Redknapp: Rashford is the new Holte end hero!
Sky Sports’ Jamie Redknapp:
“This under all the difference. He was fantastic. Holte’s end has a new hero.
“Rashford came. He gave him energy, enthusiasm, everything we want to see from him. Running, desire … He was great. He gave them that impulse to put Chelsea on the back leg.
“This is how to make the transfer window (with Asensio and Rashford). This is a master class. You look at other clubs and how they didn’t put the players.
“I’m sure there are football directors all over the world with their heads in their hands now thinking,” Why didn’t I get Marcus Rashford? “
“I get the doubts. I would be nervous to do it. But now it looks like Villa has done a great business.
“I am pleased for him. It has been difficult. Don’t make me wrong, there are elements where he should have done better, he should have tried more. But he probably found a place where he was needed, an environment good.
