Brentford recorded their first home victory in the Premier League since December with a 4-2 victory over Brighton, who had sent Joao Pedro and also made Jan Paul Van Hecke stretch with a head injury.

Danny Welbeck led Brighton’s level at the end of the first half, but Brentford seemed to be sailing towards victory at 3-1 above when Joao Pedro was shown a red card for violent behavior after a quarrel with Nathan Collins.
