Bruno Fernandes will not leave Manchester United this summer, says Chief Ruben Amorim – as he can help the club win again the Premier League.
The united captain has been essential for the mini-new regeneration of the club under amoring, with seven goals and three assists in his last seven games. This form has led to speculation that it could be transferred to Real Madrid during the summer.
“It won’t happen,” Amorim of those specific rumors said before the United League’s journey to United to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.
The head of the united coach was questioned why he is so sure that the 30-year-old wants to spend these important years of his career at Old Trafford, when the club is far from above.
“That’s the challenge. I want Bruno here,” Amorim replied.
“We want to win the Premier League again, we want the best players with us. He’s still so young because it plays 55 games every season.
“Among the assists and goals, he is there at least for 30. He’s the player we want here, he will not go anywhere.
“We are in control of the situation. I think he’s really happy here. He understands what we want to do.
“He is a more Manchester United supporter. He really feels it. Sometimes the frustration you and everyone sees, and says, ‘It’s not a good thing for the captain’ – it’s a sign that he wants him so badly.
“This is the kind of player we want. He’s not going anywhere – because I already told him.”
Amorim Coy in Rashford, Antony Futures Among Star Credit
Amorim was also asked about the long -term future of Marcus Rashford AND Antoniawho are currently impressing loans.
Rashford’s form for Aston Villa has seen him return to the England squad under Thomas Tuchel. His first match after the international break saw him break his duck for the Unai Emery side – as twice him on the prestress sent Villa to the FA Cup semifinal.
Antony, meanwhile, has four goals and four assists for Spanish side Real Betis, with Isco’s teammate joking the club must gather to raise enough money to extend that loan agreement.
“I know Rashford really well. Everyone knows the talent he has,” Amorim said.
“I already talked about this: he’s a top player if he wants. So I’m not surprised (he’s doing well in Aston Villa).
“The same thing with Antony. It’s a good thing that we see our players doing well with loan in another context. That can happen, it’s a good sign for the club.”
Further, if the door is open for the couple to return, amoring remained good: “Boys let’s focus on the game. We’re happy with the players in the loan. I’m planning the future but I don’t want to talk about the future.”
Asked if Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans AND Tom Heaton – who are all out of the contract at the end of the season – can leave United this summer, Amorim said: “We will see. We are thinking about next season, but we have a lot to do.
“We know that the Europa League can change a lot in the club. We are focused on the present, not just in the future.”
Amorim was also asked in a report of damage status Amad Diallowhich suffered damage to the leg ligament during a February training session.
“I think he will play this season, but I don’t know when,” Amorim said. “We’re really sure about that.
