Carlos Alcaraz defeated Lorenzo Musetti to win Monte-Carlo Masters for the first time, capturing his first ATP Masters Title 1000 in 13 months.
Alcaraz, the reign of Wimbledon and French Open Champion, was playing in his first final at this level since the profit of Indian Wells in March 2024.
He had to fight again after throwing the opening set, even though he broke Italian in the first match. Masetti suppressed him in the next match and eventually retired again.
He then tried ahead to win four consecutive games and ultimately take the first set 6-3.
But Alcaraz attacked again, enjoying the pleasure after broke Musetti in the first game of the second group Italian service.
The Spaniard kept his ruthless belt to go 4-0 up to the second and claimed that group 6-1.
Alcaraz kidnapped a break in the first match of the third set and pressed his home advantage.
Masetti was physically fighting in the third set and the physician turned out to work on him as he lost his first three games.
He crashed to defeat, with Alcaraz, easily transforming the first two championship points to win in three groups, 3-6 6-1 6-0.
“It’s not the way I would have liked to win a match,” Alcaraz said afterwards. “I’m just happy to have won.
“It’s been a week really difficult with many difficult situations,” he added. “Coming here and seeing hard work to pay is really, really beautiful.”
His only other title this year came to Rotterdam Open in February, but this sixth triumph of masters will be a welcome incentive for the Spaniard before future diplomas.
