Palmer is stuck in a routine
Chelsea’s Hammering of Southampton provided a perfect platform for some of Enzo Maresca’s weak stars to rediscover their confidence. But it wasn’t so for Cole Palmer.
The 22-year-old has now failed to score a goal for seven games. Even his creativity has dried up. It has been a 14 -game stretch without help for Chelsea Talisman.
It was not for the desire to try, neither. Palmer had seven blows against Southampton, more than any other player on the field. Nothing was falling enough for him.
For the first time in his professional career, Palmer finds himself in a routine. And he doesn’t know how to come out of it yet.
The basic Palmer numbers going to this game suggested that the problem was not just lies with it. No player in the championship had created as many chances as he in the 13 matches that preceded this.
However, Tuesday evening match revealed a short player in faith. Easy to forget, being just moments before the first two goals of Chelsea, but Palmer had two glowing chances.
Aaron Ramsdale stopped the first, but half of the goal was being rejected to score Palmer. Then he looked at two minds for shooting and passing when playing on the right.
Palmer has more than enough bank loans to reduce this run. The first diving in an 18 -month -old glow in older football as a regular beginner in which he has barely made a wrong foot.
Maresca has little doubt that this moment will soon pass. “All the big players go through bad moments where they try to score,” Chelsea chief said after the game.
“At the moment, Cole struggles to score or fight the right thing, but he is happy. He knows this is normal.
“It’s lucky because Cole had time in a big club with big players and knows that players go through moments like this. He’s reacting perfectly, he is laughing. He has to enjoy football.”
But the toughest tests stand forward for Chelsea and they will need their star man to find his way out of this hole if they will be serious contenders for the Champions League qualification.

Forms away by destroying the Villa season
Aston Villa has a favorable Champions League-16 tie against the Bruggge club to wait next month. In this test, they should enjoy their participation in the competition as it lasts.
Their chances of qualifying to again took a big hit with their 4-1 loss to Crystal Palace, a result that leaves them 10th and highlights, again, their wars away from Villa Park. There are now seven losses from their last Nine Premier League Away games. Their record on the road is sixth in this split this season.
It is not stable for one side with real aspirations of the Champions League qualification to rely so much in the form of their home, but there is little evidence of improving the situation.
In fact, this was probably their worst loss yet. The palace was torn through them repeatedly. The result of the result did not flatter them. Morgan Rogers took his goal greatly before Thomas Tuchel’s gaze but this was the only positive in a shameful night, which also presented a possible injury to goalkeeper Emi Martinez.
UNAI Emery should find a solution for their rapid road wars given that their two Premier League games take place at Brentford and Brighton’s Amex Gtech Community Stadium. There is also the small issue of this trip to Brugge to fight with it. Right now, their form away is threatening to break their campaign.

Wharton stars while tuchel watches
At the look at the chief of England, Thomas Tuchel, it was somewhat the perfect time for Adam Wharton to make a long -awaited return to the Crystal Palace starting eleven.
It was also a show, the 21-year-old went smoothly in the midfield of the palace, having a hand in three of the palace goals, while also making more last afternoon than any other palace player with 14.
Oliver Glasner said after the game it was a rusty start for the midfielder, who would then be acclimated after a four-month break.
“He played excellently,” Glasner said.
“When you see the second goal, with its transition to Eberechi eze. This is its quality, its pre-orientation. Also also one of our habits, winning the ball on the half-right side, passing in half Left, and you have one or two touches, and he has the quality of finding the player, he has the capacity to execute the passage in the right way.
Wharton was the man forgotten as an unused member of the euro team with 26 men of Gareth Southgate last summer, but he gave Tuchel a show to remember while the palace put Aston Villa on the sword.

Minth Hero of Unsung who placed tonin for brighton
Brighton can simply be in something special between now and finishing the campaign based on their four fantastic frontal frontal and rolling now. Georgino Rutter was amazed in his pocket, falling in love with Joao Pedro for devastating effect from time to time. There is a wavelength there that makes Brighton such a dangerous team.
Koru Mitoma also offers such a wide quality, but it was Yankuba Minteh’s performance without the ball. It was a phenomenal outside of possession in terms of working level and making sure that Lamptey was not exceeded by Antoine Semenyo.
Minteh made a seven extraordinary match in the match – at most every player. Not bad for someone who is supposed to play as a side. His enthusiasm to deceive in the tone that Brighton records three big points.

Sesssegnon reminds everyone with whom it is still a force to be calculated
Ryan Sessegnon had to be extremely patient. His earlier Premier League start came for Tottenham at a 2-0 loss to Arsenal over two years ago. Fifty -eight seconds in his next start in the competition, he had his great moment, marking the opening.
Fulham fans know what is capable of their ex -handwrit Wonder is capable of giving, that correct conclusion in the distant corner typical for so much that he has scored in the past, the catalyst standing after promoting them in 2018 when he was the championship player of the year.
“A player ranging from 16 years old to a high level, I think all of us here and maybe everyone who loves football in this familiar place at the moment he would have an amazing career because he was A high, high, high talent, ”said Fulham Silva’s boss in Molineux.
But then the injuries came, many of them and the strange career mistake too. Now 24, he has returned to Craven Cottage and reconstruction. He finally gave an opportunity to begin after encouraging signs in the cup races, he indicated that he could still be a force.
“You have to keep it healthy,” Silva added. “He must be secure again, again in rhythm, the intensity and the requirements of the Premier League because the other things he has.”
A goal in a third consecutive victory away will help a lot of sesssegnon.
