Chris Dobey continued his strong start for the year, clinking the title of the 3 player championship with Jelle Klassi in Rosmalen.
34-year-old Dobey withdrew to look for an 8-4 win just a week after being lost in the 2 player championship final for Gerwyn Price.
Domey, who began 2025 reaching the semifinal of the World Championship, began with one leg 11-legged and was never behind the Dutch, who was playing in his first PDC final since 2015.
Domey won three matches on Monday to seal his country in his second right final, facilitating the past Wessel Nijman and Krzysztof Ratajski respectively before being pushed to the border in a 7-6 semi-final victory over Callan Rydz.
Classan reached his long-awaited final on the difficult road, crossing Mickey Mansll on a crucial leg, then seeing the former champion of the Rob Cross World and Welsh Nick Kenny.
“That was massive for me,” said Deleey, who claimed a Hat-trick titles last year to end at the top of the 2024 player championship merit.
“I probably should have won the final against Gezzy (Gerwyn Price) last week, but I came back today, I tried a lot and it’s another proven point.
“I was screaming for this form in protour a few years ago,” admitted Domey, who moves to the best eight in the world after securing his sixth crown of the player championship.
“If I can take this shape on the big scene, then who knows? I can win these key titles.
“You have to take advantage of your opportunities and make it count. I just want to play arrows and I want to continue winning now.”
