Ben Whittaker’s only focus is his match with Liam Cameron on Sunday, directly Heavenly.
After a controversial technical draw in their first war, Whittaker meets Cameron for the second time with the trajectory of his future career in line when they collide in BP Live Arena Pulse in Birmingham.
But by first heading as a professional, if Whittaker wins this high profile match with Cameron he will put himself in the course for great name fights.
Whittaker and Chris Eubank JR are two divisions away in weight, but so were Eubank JR and Conor Benn, and they are now fighting Saturday, April 26 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Live on Sky arce office.
“The worst things have happened. If he had a couple krispy creams, I’m sure he would be in my weight,” Whittaker told Eubank Jr.
But it is not something the Olympic silver medal is counting. “Money speaks. He has his way, I have my way. I really can’t see that it is happening,” he said Heavenly.
“If it were in my weight or a big weight. I’m the eldest son, I’m the youngest son, I’m the fastest boy, so why would I say no? But at the end of the day, it’s a fantastic fight.
“Just a part of the sport,” he added. “Makes people talk.”
But they share a promoter in Ben Shalom of the Boxxer, who is intrigued by the possibility of a large all-British period that represents the party.
“They are two big names, for me the two biggest names outside the heavyweight division,” Shalom said Heavenly.
“Chris will go up to the middle weight (eventually). One more to reach Ben Whittaker. Mass war casinos would be.
“They are both in big clashes, they are both in career -defined fighting in the next two weeks. I expect the two to win and then we can look forward to some bigger nights.”
Chris Eubank vs Conor Benn will be Live on Saturday April 26 at Sky Sports Box Office. Reserve now!
